As I have been looking at a few of the Result Errors see that we have a mix. I or Eric really do not have time to click on everyones name and go look at thousands of returned results to see what is what. So Please help to identify the real "validate errors" Examples: This is a Bad Workunit http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=106274218 You will see that something happened to cause a compute error... It has been mentioned that "iffy" workunits are being produced from the remaining tapes from the old receiver. As the new application for Multibeam shows up here, some of these workunit related errors will go away. This is a Validate Error http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=108456895 This is the information that is needed. This happens on the Server Side. So things like over clocking or just noisy workunits cause a large part of the "compute errors" (not to leave out the famous -9 error which on takes a few seconds)... If you would like someone to look and see if something can be done about the specific validate errors. Please post them here... Unofficial BOINC Wiki has more information or you can search for most of the errors at error message The last part of this is Matt has stated that the web servers are overloaded and need replacement. Kryten handles Uploads/Downloads and Validation, currently it has taken to losing its NFS Mount to the Database and causing issues. I always thought one of the benefits of a database was that you could run automated queries for whatever you wanted to find?
