The holder of the lease on the property got a special policy insuring the WTC against a terrorist attack just six weeks before it was destroyed, then collected $40 billion from the policy. Now he builds a new tower and winds up with billions left over. I can't believe there's so many suckers out there who buy the BS story. Ummm - Reality calling indeed: History channel just aired last week that the WTC Buildings could indeed be brought down the way they were by plane because: "...when the impacts happened, all of the fire proofing of the cross support beams was knocked off. This happened because the fire proofing material used was a 'spray on' application which is NOT rated to withstand the impact such as a plane would cause. This left the cross support beams bare and exposed to the heat of the burning airplane fuel and the burning building materials. That heat was enough to bow out the cross supports at the point of impact and allow those floors to pancake, one atop the other and bring the buildings down, demolition style...." So, again I state: Freedom Tower forever in remembrance of that which was taken from us on 9-11-2001. Never forget! Just to put things into perspective, the conspiracy theory is that 6 weeks before 9/11 a new owner took possession of the twin towers, took out a massive insurance policy, wired the buildings with explosives for demolition without anybody noticing, and when the planes hit them decided to push the plunger to bring the buildings down and to collect on the insurance, with everybody thinking it was the planes that did it. At the same time, a building next door holding embarrassing government secrets was also demolished by same demolition crew, obliterating all said embarrassing evidence, hoping everybody would accept that adjacent buildings could be destroyed, which, err, some were. I don't really care about this theory, I just know it was the terrorists that started it, it was the terrorists that caused it, and it's the terrorists that have to be made to pay for this. The Freedom Tower will be a symbol for many things, one of which will be a reminder that no matter what it takes, the terrorists will be defeated. Not a hope, a fact. flam ing balloons ID: 486562 ·

However I wonder how often billionaire entreprenaurs (an australian actually in this case i believe) purchase large buildings and then proceed to wire them with explosives just in case there is a terrorist attack/earthquake/large fire that would almost destroy the building but not quite, just so that they can make sure of total destruction and thus cash in on the policy. Oh what? That's routine in big business huh? Oh well excuse me then.
