Well I would assume he means passed in the sense of my top host (2x Xeon 5150) passed his top host in the top computers list - but then, msattler would be the one to talk to in that regard, holding on to a top 10 (#7 last I looked, still going up) position with his Core 2 Quad.

Correct as usual, as your top host passed my top system briefly and then throttled back a bit. I think my Core 2 E6600 has about maxed out for now. I have had it running at 3.492Ghz for a few days now but may take it higher later.

Hi Simon

I just spotted this thread, and wondered if I could ask you a question about your optimised app?

I'm running three projects, and use your app for S@h.

If I were to install optimised apps for other projects, would there be a conflict or other issue? I note the optimised app is installed in the setiathome folder, separate from the other projects, so though I'm not into programming, I believe it may be possible to run a different optimised app for each project?

Please shoot me down in flames if I'm talking rot.

Hi :o)

Not with the Woodcrest system, since it's not just crunching but doing "useful" (meaning things people pay for) work.

It crunches about 50-70% of the day and still gets ~2.5K RAC easily. Left to its own devices, it would probably net around 3.5 (stock speed, it's a server).
