Good morning all. And to Champ and the Germans Had a good sleep after an eventful day yesterday, all good news. You'll hear more about it all in the days to come. But I start working on February the 1'st, so a lot of changes are afoot in my life. Yep, I presses the big button and a lot of good things happened. Life is good! And now I'll have some coffee. How about some omelets of those eggs? "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me

Chicago won (bah!) Welcome back, Bodley!!! The groundskeeper did it! Yep, for the last two home games, he's completely replaced the turf each time, with soggy, mucky, new turf. That means that the visiting team slips on 3" cleats, then they have to change to 5" cleats, whereupon they twist their knees and ankles. That, and the weather, is why no visiting Dome team like the Saints has ever won a conference championship on Chicago's turf. Very clever of the fellow! Chicago's defense (having been completely asleep since week five), finally woke up this game, swarming and sacking and stripping the ball away. They won this game single-handedly. Who would've thunk it? The Bears enjoy an opening +7 spread in the Superbowl, meaning that Indianopolis must win by more than a touchdown's worth for any bettors to cash in on the Colts. The sharp money doesn't think that the Colts can do it, and the lines will have to come down as the game gets closer. If Res/Lloyd Grossman can manage not to give the ball away (no mean feat, for him), your Bears may yet walk away with Superbowl rings. ;) |

OOOH! Fresh Eggs! HOORAH!!! Thank you Pawly! This calls for a celebration! Let's have "Festive Boiled Eggs" today! The kitchen staff has painted them all up pretty, and Lloyd of London (here at Bodley's behest), has promised not to overcook them. I didn't forget to tip your man Pauly, I gave him all my credits (except my four for mad money. Hahahah!) |

Chicago won (bah!) :)) Mah team! Da Bears!!!!! GO BEARS!!! (but I admit to not liking Grossman's habit of letting things go to OT. - So I have given him the nickname of "Lloyd"! This is in honour of a food critic here in London (Lloyd Grossman - an import from NY) - and the fact that LAST week, There was nothing you could pick between the two. Either would have done the same job at Quarterback. Thank God we had Urlacher!) And TGFU yesterday too. (TGFU = Thank God For Urlacher). Grossman played just like a food critic again! I have NO explanation as to how da Bears won ... except to say the Saints lost!!! I hate to think that Patriots will win yet another SuperB!!!!! Hi! Y'all ... so sorry to leave CA! Can I come back? |

Just got home, it's FREEZING outside, winter has arrived here with snow, ice glaze and a good wind chill. Good to be home again to a warm place and a nice cup of tea. I had planned to take some McDonalds with me home for dinner, but they hadn't salted outside so when I saw that ice rink outside on their driveway, I decided not to risk life and limb, so bread and yoghurt for me tonight instead. I was not that hungry. "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me

They sure have a nice way of decorating their graves in Zimbabwe, don't you think? Unfortunately, the death toll is terrible there. A staggering 42,000 women died in childbirth last year, compared with under 1,000 a decade ago. It's a tragedy 10 times worse than Darfur's and twice as large as Rwanda's. Yet it's been ignored by the United Nations and international media. |

and winning in the 2nd. You're a better man than me, Gunga Din! LOL I had plenty of doubts about losing my money when the Pats led the Colts by 21-3 (Gulp!) but they sure came back strong in the 2nd to beat the Pats 38-34, which beat the -3 spread. So, they made me money, but not without suspense. LOL What I wild game: two fumbles recovered in the endzone by linesmen! You don't see that too often. Chicago won (bah!), their defense finally woke up. I also really didn't expect the Saints to make 4 turnovers in a Conference Championship. Happily, I also scored on both of the Overs (42.5 and 47.5) for the games, so I did alright overall, but Chicago cost me a nice parlay. The opening lines for the Superbowl are: the Colts -7, and Over 48.5, although the Over is already moving up to 49 on most books. |
