There goes the neighborhood.

Yep...it's going upscale. :D

That is a very subjective view.
It is, however totally indicative of a retreat DOWNmarket.
Ah! Well!

It's no change really Bodley. Fuzzy has always been here and beeing a mod hasn't changed the other mods overnight. It's 2007, the cafe is still here and were're not tearing each other's guts out. Lets give it all a chance. We tend to notice more what mods say, because they are mods. We think that they can get away with stuff because they are mods. But they don't, and they always sounded like that.

LOL Thanks. :-D Yes, I feel very confident about being moderator on this board.

My brother and I had lunch together today, and it was very good. I had a small spinach pie with some smoked dab on the top of it, and then there was a bit of mixed salad and mustard creme to it. All arranged on a plate with some balsamico syrup and some other fond spattered on it. And with a couple of slices of olive bread to it.

I bought a nice little gift to a friend and his wife, who has been ill lately, which I'll have sent tomorrow. And I bought a new cd for myself, one I have thought about downloading, but today I got it cheaper than on iTunes, and I have the artwork to it now.

So, all in all a nice day, except for the very rainy weather. Life is great. :-)

CONGRATULATIONS FUZZY HOLLYNOODLES, MODERATOR!!!

Well done, Fuzzy!!! I'm glad you got this appointment. After all the years of helping out on donations, and with all your forum experience, it's richly deserved.

Best of luck to you in your further role here as a mod!

Thanks Red Atomic. :-)

I rather hope it goes well for the project to raise money enough to keep it going, as there won't be any board to be moderator on, if that doesn't happen.

So please make a donation to the project. Thank you.

But I need to make a summary for Eric and Pappa about why people can't/won't donate...

Suggest lowering the minimum for Paypal? I haven't used Paypal in over a year and noticed I had £5 sitting there doing nothing. SETI can have it if they will accept that amount. I wonder how many other Paypal users have loose change that they wouldn't mind transferring over?

In principle they accept all amounts, but as Eric explained, the administration costs for Berkeley is about $3 for a donation with the thank you note and all, so they won't be happy to receive too many donations, where the costs can't be covered, as it later can mean that Berkeley is charging even more from the donated money for administration. You can find Eric's post about this in one of the donation threads, I don't have a link to it right now and here. And to get a star the minimum is $10.

But we are looking into the different possibilities, and I would suggest an option to not get the thank you note, as we, the foreigners, can't deduct anything.

About PayPal, please wait till Eric has something set up with Simon. Then you should be able to donate through Simon, but be aware that there's a fee for Simon to receive the money, which he'll need to have covered.

But we are looking into all this, right now we need to have Pappa back on full time to help also.

Sam Adams for me Fuzzy

This one?

Ok, I don't have the time for looking up the different beer labels for each, so it's either those Kronenbourg beers or some Tuborg Gold

I have some Jack Daniels too

and some Heather Cream

And some of the perfect combination, chocolate and booze, so grab one of those, if you want

But I need to make a summary for Eric and Pappa about why people can't/won't donate...

Later.

Very cool Fuzzy, very cool.

Sorry, forgot to say hello. Hello all.

Good evening Champ.

Have you checked your mail? I sent you a New Year greeting and I can see you haven't opened it yet? I sent it to your .de address.

Sorry, i had problems with the e-mail program. Some mails must be lost. Thanks for the mail i have opened it now. You will get repley

Alles klar. I see you now have seen the card. But I could have resent it, if it was lost.

The movie, I was watching the end of, was this one: One True Thing

I have seen it before, it is very good. Meryl Streep was nominated for an Oscar for her part in it.
