When you uninstalled BOINC, did you delete the app_info.xml file too? |

When you uninstalled BOINC, did you delete the app_info.xml file too? i used add or remove programs in win xp control panel. if that removes it then, yes |

When you uninstalled BOINC, did you delete the app_info.xml file too? If you want to start "clean", you need to delete the BOINC folder since the uninstaller leaves the config files and the contents of the project and slot directories intact. Keep in mind you will have to reattach to all the projects, or restore the specific project files from a backup in this case. <edit> From looking at your host, it looks like all you need to do is shut down BOINC, go into the SAH project directory, delete the app_info file, restart BOINC, manually update the project, and you should be good to go (with the stock app of course). Then you could try getting the optimized app setup again if you wanted. HTH, Alinator |

When you uninstalled BOINC, did you delete the app_info.xml file too? did it , found all kinds of leftovers from opt. file in there and deleted all that also, just have one more problem, now i am getting a mess that says i have reached daily limit for work to download and all the wu's previously attemted to download were documented over client error, is there anyway to over ride this and download work? i can't tell if deleting the app_info file worked because i have no wu's to process. downloading has been deferred for 14 hours! |

If I'm reading this right, there is one of two things you could do: 1.) Just wait the 24 hours to clear the "Bad Results" flag on the server and get new work then. 2.) Detach the host and reattach under a new Host ID. HTH, Alinator <edit> Looks like you've already used up 10 of the 24 hours (I glossed over the deferred message). ;-) |

If I'm reading this right, there is one of two things you could do: i'll probably just let this one sit out for the 13 hours i have left , i need to put a new fan in it to help cool it down some some i can clock it up a little more, i still have two machines running ( even though one takes about 22hours per) i still have 26 wu's out there in pending status so i'll still have a productive day and hopefully get into overclockers top 50 before the end of the weekend. with just 2-3 average to below average machines in less than 2 weeks. thanx for your help, ill let you know in about 13 hours if i'm fixed! my dog just gave a look like "that don't sound funny at all" :-) |

If I'm reading this right, there is one of two things you could do: That'll work! :-) BTW, I should have called it the "Quota Used Up" flag, rather than "Bad Results". A small, but crucial difference. ;-) Alinator |
