Good morning to all those in the cafe.

I don't know if you do Einstein A/C...but he's over there with Kath and some of the others who formerly posted here.

I registered with Einstein but I never really did much work for them. So I don't think I have enough credit to post there. The former posters should come back I think.

I see we are still sliding down the slippery, instead of enjoying ourselves.

Hi John!...Is it time to take your dogs out for a walk?

I would normally take 4 of them out. But, we have had quite heavy rain in the last few nights, and I walk them on local bridleways (unmade up farm type tracks).

The conditions make the dogs very mucky, as well as wet. So, unless the road leading to the 3 bridleway choices I have is not being used I tend to be lazy and not walk them! I think, with the pressures of work and workload, I might give the walk a miss!

You don't want a bunch of muddy dogs in your house...I'm assuming they live inside with you...But that might not be the case.

Got it in one ...

... but, as they dry out they start to smell old and doggy.

Even with my poor sense of smell, and living here all the time, I can smell them.

It would make a visitor very aware of the animals, despite the 5 plugin scented air freshners I have running around the house.

Just logged in and seen the latest news about the Doc.

We lost the Doc today...He's had enough of the politics and has moved on to other projects...It's a shame...since this was his favorite project.

That is a shame...maybe the boys could pay him a visit to change his mind.

I tried...But he's pretty disgusted with the whole thing right now...The discussion for the cure for this place is almost as toxic as the disease.

And it could be catching from what I hear Dan, maybe an epidemic is coming...

I've heard that too...It's really a shame to lose your brightest and best.

I also agree that it's a shame. Let's hope an amicable solution is found before too many others walk as well. It's been suggested on Erics thread that most of the people who left at the time over the Crunch3r business have now gradually come back. If that's true, then maybe there is no cause to worry too much in the long term. We'll see......

It shouldn't have to be that way...There was no improvement last night...It was not a very inviting place for a newcomer to visit last night...including several veiled comments about a former mod...(which have since been modded).

I dunno ... but here in Europe, ATM PIN numbers are only 4 digits!
Different in US?

Mine is 4 digits...but some banks might be different.

They're 4 digists by default, but if you ask your bank they'll let you input a longer PIN. Mine are 6 digits, for example.

Here in California; it used to be that way with the smaller Banks... (None of them left, now...) Great Western Savings Bank, (now part of Washington Mutual), had a 6-Digit Limit on PINs. My original was 5-Digits; now, WAMU has enforced a 4-Digit PIN... LOL If you still have a WAMU Debit Card with a PIN longer than 4; your time too, will come... Supposedly, at the date of renewal for the card; or if you make a significant change to the Account that requires a new card be issued - then "At that time, you must create a new 4-Digit PIN to replace the old longer PIN."

Now that most Banks have switched from VISA to MasterCard for Debit Cards, (due to VISA's growing fees to Banks), the new PINs are becoming effective more quickly, and at present are mandatory - unable to be changed to longer than 4-Digits. Myself and others have registered "suggestions/complaints" to WAMU; indicating that for "Security Purposes" a 5-Digit PIN is MUCH MORE secure, but for now they don't want to make that change or create that option. LOL
