I can't believe this thread has now needed to be spawned again and is now on it's 6th installment. This is the thread for all things " creepy ". Bigfoot Loch Ness Monster Chupacabra Misfit UFOs Anything that isn't within the realm of " normal " science. Rules are as follows.... Aliens stole the rest of this thread!! Hi Es... Long Time No See :) I'm doing my level best to fill the thread as quick as I can!! Last post from the old thread...from the fearless leader himself... Good to know that things are going a little straighter for you LGM. Thanks, KM. It's nice to know the thread has continued it's merry way without a serious diversion from course. As for things going straighter... the oven is now working, the dishwasher has been repaired, and my Project, which I am doing for my IT diploma is making headway. The computer, however, is another thing... everything EXCEPT MS Word works perfectly.......ggggggggggrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it's the spookiest of conspiracies that none of us aliens have made UOTD!! Congrats, Fuzzy :) Not that I'm bothered, as there's about a half million registered users on S@h. The chances of getting UOTD here are pretty much close to zero! I do the odd WU for Einstein, when there's a severe outage at S@h. Even if I keep a 4 day cache, which I do, the faster of my machines runs dry after 3 days. Einstein helps keep it busy. Incidentally, if you crunch for Astropulse (SETI Beta) can you also crunch at the same time for S@h? Does Astropulse use the same version of BOINC? I could probably find out if I had a look at their site, but I'm pretty much shattered after a long day. I'm also looking at a new thermostat for the fridge, and wishing I could put it off until tomorrow. I probably will.

I think it's the spookiest of conspiracies that none of us aliens have made UOTD!! LGM, yes, you can use your BOINC client for both projects. There was a problem with the 5.4.11 client if you crunch seti main WU's with the chicken app, as the 5.15 used here and the 5.17 used over there messed up in it. But the newer boinc clients have been repaired for that bug, so if you download the latest client 5.7.1, you won't have any problems. I don't have any problems with the 5.7.1 client at all, so it's ok, and I use the chicken app here. But the WU's over there are way faster than the chicken app, so I think Eric is about to integrate the optimization in the client that will be the stock client here.
