Reinstall BOINC 5.4.9 to fix the MSI file.

You don't need to upgrade to 5.4.11 unless you have specific problems with firewall software (McAfee mostly). The only difference between .9 and ,11 is that an RPC (Remote Procedure Call) is added to the screen saver, which passes through the firewall software. If 5.4.9 is working correctly, there is no need to upgrade.

Yet to fix the MSI file for when you want (well, need...) to upgrade to the next version of BOINC, make sure you reinstall your present version.

Have 5.4.09 running. After closing all operations down, run installer for v.11 and gets as far as putting the boinc.msi in the dowloaded installations folder (win98se) and installashield gets almost to the end, then accesses the floppy drive and puts up an error that the msi file can not be found. Click search and is in correct directory! Click open. Installer waits 20 seconds then comes back with same error message!!!! Any clues anyone please!
