Have you downloaded Internet explorer 7. It will take some time to get used to it.

Is it still in Beta? I downloaded, installed and removed it within 2 hours a few weeks ago.

The term "crap" came to mind.

I would have thought Beta was a bit optimistic, I thought more like Alpha, and Microsoft don't/couldn't pay me enough to start debugging their stuff again. So I removed it too.

Actually, I would recommend people don't bother, Firefox has been doing "Tabs" for years and theirs works. Get it instead.

I downloaded and installed about an hour ago. Seems much more stable than the beta was. Just got to get used to where MS moved everything now.

I figure I better get to know it before one of my customers downloads it and calls me about something.

It is going to be a High Priority Update for MS in November, so it'll get pushed to most everyone anyway.

"Not 24 hours after the release of IE7, Secunia reports Internet Explorer Arbitrary Content Disclosure Vulnerability. So much for the "you wanted it easier and more secure" slogan found on Microsoft's IE Website."

IE7 Takes a long time to install when compared to Firefox...So be prepared to sit and wait while it slowly extends it's tentacles into your computer.

Yes; honestly, good luck, Labbie. I sincerely hope that it works smoothly, and corrupts nothing, crashes little, and - what am I saying??? It's Mickeysloth... Wake me on Service Pack 2 for IE7... <Just kidding...>

Seriously, I hope it is stable and provides excellent service for you. However, (like Fat B.), I'll stick with Firefox.

IE7 has to be one of the crappest pieces of software to be vomited by Microsoft since Windows XP. WTF were they thinking with taskbars that can't be reorganised and moved? BTW I was a beta tester for my sins, registered a ticket about that (along with everyone else) and was told it was a 'design decision' and won't be changed. If the interface is so crap, can you imagine how full of holes the code is? Whatever you think about M$ at least they used to do interfaces well, but this does not bode well.

Edit: Fixed quotes - got my messge stuck in middle of them.

Just wait until you try to remove the damn thing! Good luck.

Oh, by the by. My auto update asked me if I wanted it. Should have known better.

moooooozilla. I mean, I love Microsoft personally, but I use firefox simply to protest how horrible IE is.

Yahoo offered it up a bit early, I'm not sure I even would use it over the old one, atleast not in this stage.

VoIP Man,

Does your handle imply that you are a Vonage Customer? Or, are you using one of the original VoIP Software Packages and going "Computer to Computer"? I am a current Vonage Customer; myself, and will NEVER go back to "traditional/standard" Land Line Phone service(s).

I installed it yesterday. I set my homepage - well it carried over from my old IE. However, ever time I open IE7 it tries to go to a microsoft site that does not exist. If I click the house button(homepage button) it goes to my homepage. Not sure. I just don't like the way the robbed the tabs idea from Firefox. I'll stick with firefox.

Surprisingly enough, I have had no problems with it in almost 24 hours.

I know, I know, I'm as surprised as you are.

Day 2. Still working. No real problems - expect that it keeps going to a microsoft page when I start it. If I click the house button it goes to my directed homepage. I can live with it. I use firefox, but also use IE a lot. It just depends on which one I see on my messed up desktop first.
