Ok,

How much RAC could you get with $11,000? Also throw in a good Gaming PC along with the crunchers.

Anyone figured a way to blade core duo boards? I think any of the Xeons wouldn't be as cost effective.

You probably can blade the 3xxx Xeons (single-CPU core 2).
These are no more expensive than the Conroes.

Regards Hans

P.S: For cheap housing, see my post below :o)

I hope it's a new mega-megapixel DSLR. If it's anything less I would be disapointed.

Warning: Posting a 15 megapixel photo to this board might be frowned upon by the mods :o)

To be a bit more serious, I had good success with using AOpen H340A cases.

These are slimline desktop cases for uATX mainboards, coming with a 200W PSU.

They work OK with Pentium-M and Core Duo and should also take a Core2, if you don't OC too much.

They can be stacked nicely.

I can't even imagine what computers will do in 3 years. We think what is out there now is fast.

80 Cores in Five Years?

they have a working model at 10 cores but still its getting close. its just cooling that is the problem now. they have to use liquid nitrogen to keep it cool, i would like to have one but cant pay LN fees.

You'll have to upload you images to some public webspace (like www.imageshack.com) or we won't be able to see them.

Or just mail them to hans.dorn <at> gmail.com and I'll put them up for you.

That image is tiny. Do you have a bigger one? Usually your ISP will give you webspace where you can post images...
