Message 437076 - Posted: 15 Oct 2006, 18:57:25 UTC - in response to Message 437034.

Maybe we could start a "me too" thread, or move the useful comments to a non-"me too" thread?

I think the only really useful comment at this point would be something like...
"Hey guys, I'm gonna run over to Berkeley and reset the server in an hour or so."

Good luck with that. The NFL football games are on. LOL

Seriously though, I highly doubt the admin will come in till tomorrow. Unless we can successfully crash the entire system from outside. :-)

I believe it is just part of the U.S. govt./Alien conspiracy. Seti@Home is getting just a little bit too close...<lol>

Check the front page ("home") and you will see that they are aware of the problem now!

For those that don't visit the home page:

October 15, 2006
We are having server problems that result in an error when results are uploaded. We're trying to identify the cause now.

Some 403-problems in Germany. About 10 Jobs running and could not be send. And there's no service around by SETI or Berkeley. Why?

At this time, almost all the servers are down at Berkeley, they are on site trying to figure out what the problem is. Be patient, and keep your fingers crossed and they should get things back up and running.

Hope it's not a fluke, but I just uploaded and reported 4 WUs!!!

Tech BB they say they are trying to Identify the problem...
I have also uploaded a few... not sure if they were recorded correctly or not as yet though.

When we finally figure it all out, all the rules will change and we can start all over again.

Still a couple of red flags at the server status page, but projects are uploading for me!

.........
Shades of the old SETI Classic apalling lack of information.
It may be that the "fixed version" of the Scheduler (mentioned on 12th Oct) has failed?

PS Acknowledgement given now, even on a Sunday. That's good. Well done. Someone cares.
Much better service than there was on SETI Classic, when no advice given usually for a week or so.

Same here. My 2 just went up. I'll keep an eye on the tech news page and as soon as they post something I'll throw it here. :-)

I'm able to upload now. There is a msg on the tech news page. Seems they may have the problem fixed. I've uploaded all wu's from this computer. Going to go to the other machine to see if I can upload those wu's

Yup. No problems uploading my wu's now. Cleared all wu's from two of my machines, but have to wait until tomorow to get the machine at work cleared.

I agree it's fixed. All but 40 of my backlog on this system have uploaded, and they all seem to have gotten proper credit.
It's going to make for some real lumps in RAC numbers for a few weeks though.
