All projects connected with Boinc, which is a mini-operating system that manages the projects, have credits measured in "cobblestones" which are a measured number of calculations each. Each cobblestone is one "point" of credit and the number of points is strictly a score, used for bragging rights, no more than points in a basketball game or number of strikeouts for a baseball pitcher. Beware that the awarding or credits (points) is not exactly consistent yet but that's the way the ball bounces. It varies more than 2-to-1. Simon's cruncher (which is for Seti only) almost doubles my credit production with the same machines compared to the default I used when I signed up at SetiBoinc. |

I just took a look at your machine, and rest assured if nothing is wrong with your BOINC installation you'll be getting a lot of it in pretty short order. ;-) You'll also get a *lot* more of it if you decide to use enhanced apps. http://lunatics.at/index.php?module=Downloads;catd=4

LOL, Answers in order; it's a relative measure of your contribution to a project, and not a whole lot. :-) <edit> I just took a look at your machine, and rest assured if nothing is wrong with your BOINC installation you'll be getting a lot of it in pretty short order. ;-) Alinator |
