"We urge all SETI@home to consider participating in Climateprediction.net. This will keep your computer busy (and earning credit) even when SETI@home has no work available." what is this? i donate my cpu time to science. i am not a credit junkie. does this mean berkeley after 5 years still have no idea what they are tapping into? Climateprediction.net. is on the same servers? and will work as well? (joke) no. seti/boinc should make there system work if they want me donatng time. yes. i can decide to donate to other projects as well. i do not need berkeley to decide that. in fact i am pissed off by this messege. berkely boys/girls take us more serious. our cpu time is what makes you tik. in short: only tap into the power of internet donators if you know what you are doing. it seems you are still not very aware. |

I'am no credit junkie ether, but it appears that seti@home will not have enough data to keep everyone crunching all the time if the systems works 100% of the time, and the poster of this news is ASKING you to look at donating that unused cpu time to a different science project. |

Why would you be "pissed off" by this? It is an invitation to participate in another project if you wish. ... and it says that Serendip doesn't yet produce enough data for all of us. That may change once the new receiver is up at Aricebo and Parkes. In the meantime, you may join CPDN. ... or not. You've been invited but you don't have to play. > i do not need berkeley to decide that. in fact i am pissed off by this > messege. |

"in fact i am pissed off by this messege" In a place where competition is hot for being the most pissed off by the smallest thing, I think we may have a winner :) So many people here either need to get laid or find some good recreational drugs. |
