For the moment, the SETI multibeam data recorder receiver is all there is, plus of course the outcomes of your results. Click on the Result IDs for more information per result. Ageless, Thanks once again ... I looked at one of my Result IDs and saw under stderr out: <core_client_version>5.4.9</core_client_version> <stderr_txt> ar=0.393966 NumCfft=76011 NumGauss= 497915930 NumPulse= 95438232448 NumTriplet= 8184936415232 ar=0.393966 NumCfft=76011 NumGauss= 497915930 NumPulse= 95438232448 NumTriplet= 8184936415232 ar=0.393966 NumCfft=76011 NumGauss= 497915930 NumPulse= 95438232448 NumTriplet= 8184936415232 ar=0.393966 NumCfft=76011 NumGauss= 497915930 NumPulse= 95438232448 NumTriplet= 8184936415232 </stderr_txt> Are those "Num_=" things just the raw number of items processed in each category? What does "ar=" signify? Why does the same exact line appear four times? Is there anything "interesting" about results like this? Thanks again. Cheers, Eric |

With the Multi-Beam Data Recorder getting results, Seti's 5.17/5.18 science app should be able to get yet even more information out of things. and hopefully Matt will have a new site in place by the time good results are returned by everyone. Keep an eye on the Technical News and front page for that. |

It'll be recorded in your results. Ageless, Thanks for your help. I guess what I'm asking is how I can go back and find out what, if anything, was recorded in the results that might be of interest in the search for ETI. Eric |

It'll be recorded in your results. You can see it in your graphics or screen saver. You don't need to be around all the time and check everything. The software does it for you. |

Hi, Tiare, Thanks very much for your welcome. I think I must still be missing something, though. Say I find a "triplet" while I'm away from my computer. How do I find that out after the fact? Going to the Statistics tab in BOINC Manager doesn't seem to tell me much. Cheers, Eric |

I'm a newbie. So far I see no way to tell if any of my work units have produced any "interesting" results. Is there a way to do that? Hi Eric! First of all, welcome to Seti@home community! ok, you need to understand the basics concepts of Seti@home first, and read especially the section: "Types of Detected Events". And then you can go to "Number Crunching" Forum; there are always people talking about their results. Greetings, Tiare Rivera.- My photography world |
