Why else would we put up with the abuse here? lol

Doesn't she have you to watch over her? You've got the tag, man. ;-)

Perhaps what I need is bear/bare therapy.

Let's see here.

* 1 anti teddy bear therapy couch *

That solves THAT part of the problem.

The BARE part you will have to take up with your hubby...lmao

True enough, I do have the tag. But then I would be accused of being * GASP * biased towards my team and it's members. Even though I already had to say something to one of them. LMAO

Well...considering that it creeped you out so badly that you still remember it, I would have to say it had an effect on you.

Of course, you aren't completely nuts, at least I don't think so, so the effect wasn't THAT bad...lol

Nutty enough to get myself shredded on these forums, though. That bear must have turned me into some kind of masochist.

Sue.

HAHAHAHAHAH!!!! Happens to the best of us Susan. LOL

All of us have masochistic tendancies methinks. Why else would we put up with the abuse here? lol

There must be something in it or I wouldn't keep coming back for more, would I.

Do you think I've been affected by this?

I'll leave that to the pocket shrinks we have around here. :-)

But as far as you are posting, in my opinion, you're as normal as all the other whacko's around here. (And not only in this thread :-))

It'll depend on what you give your kids. Brown bears with brown eyes? Yellow bears with white/yellow eyes? How about Kermit? ;)

Kermit was cute at the side of this bear I had.

It was a dark blue bear, and it had the most terrifying eyes I had ever seen.

And people (read: psychiatrists, psychologists) wonder why kids/people at a later age start acting weird.

What colour were its eyes?

I can't remember the colour of its eyes, I think they were a dark blue like the rest of it, but it wasn't so much the colour. It was the fact that its eyes were big and round, and I really used to think this bear could see me, was staring back at me. Do you think I've been affected by this?

Hmmm....good thing they are just Teddy Bears...lol

Hey...don't let their cute cuddly appearance fool you...many people who claim to have been abducted by aliens only do so because they are too embarrased to admit that they were abducted by rouge teddy bears!

I KNEW there was something about those bears!!!

* remembers back to when there was a Teddy Ruxspin bear on my shelf *

I don't know about you...but that damn bear used to totally creep me out.

It's funny you should say that. I had a small blue bear as a child. I don't know why I was so afraid of it. It gave me a nightmare one night. The thing grew in size and came alive. I woke up screaming. I'm surprised my mother didn't throw it out.

Well I thought the bear was alive. Maybe that's the reason I didn't destroy it. I was just too scared to kill it, in case it came back in my dreams to haunt me. I never told my mother about this even many years later.

Sue.

Are you sure it was a dream...thats the sort of thing bears get up to while you sleep!!!

I've heard that those bears belonged to a satanic cult...and performed satanic rituals over their owners while they slept.

This could explain your reaper avatar!!!!

Hmmmm.....

I'm not Satanic, I just thought the avatar looked cool.lmao

Could it be that it was all implanted into my sub concious by Teddy Ruxspin???

Am I secretly a Satanic serial killer just waiting for the right opportunity??

Nahhhhh....I would have started by now....lol

No. She didn't throw it out because I didn't tell her what the nightmare was about. I also put a dress on it, perhaps because I thought dressing it would make it more likeable, but to no avail. I can't remember what happened to it.
Sue.

Wow. You never told her what it was that gave you the nightmare. You were one tough kid.

I didn't think she would believe how afraid of it I actually was, because I had put it in a dress. It was a dark blue bear, and it had the most terrifying eyes I had ever seen.

I KNOW!!! Teddy Bear eyes are just creepy. Those who haven't really looked at the eyes just don't understand...lol
