It's amazing how many people have a story to tell when they are given a place to tell it. My pleasure. Air Cold, the blade stops; from silent stone, Death is preordained Calm Chaos Forums : Everyone Welcome |

It's amazing how many people have a story to tell when they are given a place to tell it. I'm glad you did Buzz. Thank you. :-) That's the reason I put this thread here. People need a place to tell their stories. Once the Calm Chaos website is up and running, I am hoping to have a forum where people can come and tell their stories. It was a hot summer night back in 1981. Some friends and I were heading back to the marina after going into town for a late night munchie fix. As we turned onto the gravel road leading to the driveway. My buddy slammed on the brakes of the car and froze! I looked up ahead and there on the left side of the road maybe 100ft away was what looked like a large two legged hairy man. Looked to be approx 7' tall very bulky build. Needles to say we were stunned into silence in the first few seconds and then all hell broke loose. Whatever it was moved in the blink of an eye and disappeared into the bush. At that moment the car was flung into reverse and we took off like a rocket. Ten minutes later I managed to convince my buddy to stop the car and calm down. He wanted to drive back to the city right then and there. It was Friday night I wasn't giving up my weekend on the boat. So after an hour of debating we were heading back to the marina. We got to the same spot and scurried past the spot we saw the hairy guy. Needless to say none of us slept a wink that night. The next morning I walked out the driveway looking for any indication of what we saw and found nothing. I still think about this encounter from time to time and wonder was it Mr.Sasquatch or Mrs. Moose... I guess I'll never know... |

I visited Loch Ness just over two years ago. We sailed out in a small boat on a rather dull afternoon. The captain gave us a commentary on the loch, and very interesting it was too. I can't remember all that he told us, but he was certainly very knowledgeable. I can remember the boat tossing in the waves, and the slight feel of apprehension rising in my stomach as we sailed out into the middle of the loch. It is not hard to understand why Loch Ness has spawned such a legend as Nessie. The loch is over three hundred feet deep and you can't see down past the surface of the water. This is because the surface is always covered in a dark peaty substance, making the water appear black even on the best of sunny days. Also, Loch Ness never freezes, even in the coldest of winters, managing to maintain a constant temperature throughout the year. It has no shoreline so paddling is well nigh impossible, and anyone who attempted it would find themselves in some very deep water very quickly. The loch is shaped like a huge bowl or basin, and if it were possible to empty out all of its water, the basin would be large enough to hold all the world's population. Various attempts have been made over the years to locate Nessie, but so far she evades detection. Nevertheless, some time ago, a team of researchers caught a very large fish from the loch. It measured over seven feet long. This creature, which may breed in the loch, might have been responsible for some of the sightings that visitors have experienced over the years. I don't personally believe that Nessie exists but plenty of people do. Meanwhile, Nessie continues to attract a large number of tourists and the resulting trade speaks for itself. Susan. I watched a show called Deep Sea Detectives that went looking for Nessie. It was on a few weeks ago. The visibility under water is practically nil. That is one of the things that makes the search difficult even on the best of days. There was another show I watched on Discovery ( not sure of the name of it ) that got involved in searching for Nessie. The went in with sonar equipment and other such technological marvels and found some anomalies that they couldn't explain. Of course the show left off with those people saying that they would have to go back to their labs and study the data. Isn't that the way it ALWAYS works?? lol Does Nessie exist? Hell I don't know. I have not had the pleasure of being in a position to SEE Nessie. It seems that Nessie is similar to Bigfoot in the sense that LOTS of people have " seen " Bigfoot, but nobody has produced any really concrete proof of it's existance. I am sure that ( given the number of sightings ) there is SOMETHING in the water of the Loch that isn't explained as yet. I am also pretty sure that if people keep looking long enough, they will find out what it is. Air Cold, the blade stops; from silent stone, Death is preordained Calm Chaos Forums : Everyone Welcome |

I visited Loch Ness in Scotland just over two years ago. We went out in a boat on a rather dull by dry afternoon. The captain gave us a commentary on the Loch, and very intersting it was too. I can't remember all that he said, but he was certainly very knowledgeable. I can remember the boat tossing in the water and the slight feel of apprehension I had as we sailed out into the middle of the loch. It is not hard to understand why Loch Ness has spawned such a legend as Nessie, the famous monster said to lurk in its deep waters. The loch is over 300 feet deep and you can't see down past the surface of the water. That is because the surface is always covered in a dark peaty substance, making the water appear black, even on the best of days when the sun is shining. Also, Loch Ness never freezes over even in the coldest of winters, managing to maintain a constant temperature throughout the year. It has no shore where people can paddle, and so any attempt to do so would result in one finding oneself in some very deep water very quickly. Loch Ness is shaped like a bowl, and if you could empty out all of the water the basin would be big enough to hold all the world's population. Various attempts have been made throughout the years to try to find 'Nessie,' but so far she evades capture. Some time ago, a team of researchers caught a very big fish in the Loch measuring roughly over 7 feet long, and this creature might actually be responsible for some of the 'sightings' people have had in the past. I don't personally believe that Nessie exists but there are plenty of people who still do. That was obvious when we visited. Nessie has managed to bring a roaring tourist trade to Loch Ness. Even one of the petrol stations nearby had installed a giant green sculpture of a prehistoric monster towering above us. What more can I say? Sue. 'No one can make you inferior without your consent.' This from the Crytomundo website.... Yarwen: Captured in Maine I get all kinds of emails. Some are threatening. Some are intriguing. Some are confusing. Because an “offer†in a new email has been withdrawn due to the fact I wanted more details, plus, humm, a photograph, as well as to know the real identity of the person writing me, I will share the following correspondence. This melodrama may be someone’s fiction or next week’s media event, so read it in that context. The person who wrote got upset with my caution, my checking for credibility, and my probing questions. The individual then said he was going to put “it†up on eBay. He also told me I was out of any money I was going to “make†off this captured creature. So be it. I feel fully released to share this all with you, the readers of Cryptomundo. If this is the proof we all have hoped for of a Bigfoot, I guess I missed my chance to drive to New Jersey to take a peek. Here’s the email (with lack of capitalizations and spelling intact), dated Saturday, September 2, 2006: This is Not A Hoax Of course, I am not in the habit of jumping in my old station wagon and driving to New Jersey, based upon an email like this. I needed more proof, more facts, more reality about who is emailing me. Hey, on some level, I’m more interested in proving these things exist when there is no greed attached, scientifically. Of course, I don’t blindly go off on wild goose chases to take pictures. Despite this emailer’s claim, it could be a hoax, of course. When I hear about all the money someone thinks they deserve for their evidence, red flags go up for me. (There are several red flags, needless to say, about this tale.) Me as an agent? This person doesn’t know me well at all. Furthermore, I sure don’t have any money to purchase photos, either, and won’t even if I had the funds. Nevertheless, I help people all the time, make contacts, but only after I’ve been given assurances that what is coming my way is a serious inquiry and not trickery. In this case, I tried to ask for more details about this alleged “Yarwen†capture. All I was told was… to answer your last question, i drove the thing all the way home in the back of my truck handcuffed to the roll bar. Later, after a flurry of Sunday emails in which I tried to calmly talk to this person, I received this: i’ll tell you what… look on ebay in about a week and you will see a live video. i will give the exclusive story to one of your competitors. i would think you would be excited to be given the honor of publishing the first real photos of a yarwen ever and breaking the story. i will show nothing until i am paid for it. if you want to see the body go look for it. watch for the ebay listing. And finally: like i mentioned earlier, check ebay periodically and you will have all the photo evidence you need. this ends my communications with you. Of course, if this person has a live young Bigfoot in New Jersey taken from Maine, probably the wildlife officials in Maine want to know more about this animal as a ward of their state, for starters. I’m not sure what a “Yarwen†is, but then, via googling I see it is a name used in Dungeons and Dragons. Maybe there is a clue in that fact. Or maybe this guy is trying to write Yeren? Who knows? Does this mean we all have to watch eBay for the next incredible hominology discovery that will shake the ranks of anthropology to its foundations? We’ll see. ------------------------------ I put the emails that Loren recieved in quote form so that they could be seen in the same context as it was shown on the website. Please note that the folks involved with Bigfoot and other such creatures don't believe everything they are told...lol Air Cold, the blade stops; from silent stone, Death is preordained Calm Chaos Forums : Everyone Welcome |

Have you never heard of "Tempest"? Every keystroke you make can be heard by equipment a kilometre away! Kinda makes you wonder if a tin foil hat is a good idea for your keyboard.
