Hi Guys. The most recent program on SETI Radio Network Sceptical Sunday - CURSES should be right up your alley. Take a look! MP3 downloads average 35 mb.

COOL! Thanks, Monday!

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I wish I was still at that level design, programe or site mgt wise. I used to be. I wrote html starting at 1.0. No apps, all notepad or simple text. Now it's 4 different distinct fields or more if you include backends: DB, shopping cart, etc. It's a conspiracy!

Thank you - am I allowed a wee personal thing to say - or is is there another thread I should be using?

You can say anything you like...within reason of course. lol

I'm not THAT anal about staying on topic in here....lol

Thanks, I'll try to stay as much on topic as I can! The village where I live was built after WW2 for men who were war blinded - I was born in the house next door to the one I live in now. The day my father died, 24/01/54, I was 2 years old, and Annie who lived in this house then, saw my dad out the back in his jammies. She told him to get inside cos he'd catch his death, (how ironic), and he laughed and said 'will you look afer my girls?', then she realised that he couldn't be there, and turned to look at where he'd been standing and there was no-one there. Now, like you, I am a confirmed sceptic about things like that, but the thing that makes me wonder is that she told our then neighbour, just at the time my dad had died. This is not wishful thinking, because at least two other people waw him around the same time, the only thing is, he died in a hospital 10 miles away from the our village!

I totally believe she saw him.

I believe her as well Mulder. My daughter's mother had a similar experience when her father died.

I believe her too... While my situation is not as "strong" as it happened in a "dream state" and thus I was "not conscious" unlike Maggie; my Grandmother, (on my Father's side), died in 1982 from Lung Cancer... (She didn't even smoke!)

She went through Chemo and everything... Her health just continued to decline... (Note: I never knew my Mother's Mom...) I was closer to my Dad's Mom than anyone!

When she passed away, I was in the middle of my first year of High School. My Dad WOULD NOT let me go to the funeral; as we lived in California and my Grandparents, an Aunt and Uncle, and a set of Cousins ALL lived in Illinois...

I WAS DEVISTATED! I WAS ALSO ANGRY AT MY DAD!

Anyway; months went by and toward that Thanksgiving, I had this weird dream ABOUT THAT UPCOMING THANKSGIVING, and Grandma was there at the table... Everyone was talking and having a great time, INCLUDING GRANDMA... Then, in my dream, my brain interjected the thought - "Wait, aren't you dead?!!!"

At that point, the dream FROZE! It then RESET, the same table, the same relatives, BUT NO GRANDMA!!! In the dream, NO ONE ELSE NOTICED! NO COMMENTS ABOUT "Where'd she go?", nothing... (I mean, c'mon, it's a dream, weird things happen, and characters in the dream notice things that you'd never think would get noticed in reality - AND when noticed, the characters in a dream USUALLY act like what happened is/was "normal"... None of this occurred...)

Well, of course I woke up IMMEDIATELY and was in tears; still deeply missing Grandma, and coming to the reality that that particular Thanksgiving would be the first one without Grandma... (Still hurts to this day, and it's been 24 years!!!)

The strange thing IS is that I would have that dream at about the same time, (just before Thanksgiving), every couple of years for about 6-8 years...

I finally told someone I knew in College about the dream. She stated that Grandma was trying to say "goodbye" to me, knowing how close we were... (In tears now... Sorry... Like I said, this still hurts...)

I'm sorry for your loss. Missing people we love is a priviledge. It's proof of life. Some people go from day to day feeling nothing. They don't have lives just an existence. This is why you are who you are with and to your family and friends.

Thank you, Mulder.

This is weird. I've had that too.

A very dear friend of mine died in September last year, and I was devastated. I still can't speak about him without starting getting tears in my eyes, because I still miss him so much.

A couple of days after he died, I took a nap, and in my dream, I suddenly heard his voice saying "Hey girl, don't worry, everything will be fine". I knew it was his voice, as I had spoken with him on the phone a few times, and he always started his mails to me with "Hey girl". It gave me a comforting feeling, even I mourned and still mourn his death.

Rest in peace, my friend.

I take great comfort, (even through my pain that still haunts me), that I WILL see her, (as well as ALL my relatives that have passed on), as PROMISED by Heavenly Father when it is my time to pass through The Veil... Family NEVER truly separates... 8-D (This includes "close friends" that are like family.)
