The King move to e8 psyched you out, but it was never a problem. If, instead of taking the Rook on b7, Black moves Kd7-e8, then the both the Queen and the Rook are on the 7th rank, so...Rb7-e7++ is checkmate!

You get an "Honorable Mention" for all that good work, guy!
