Mate in three ! :)

Got it!

1. Rd6xg6 ...Rg8xRg6 (could also be f7xRg6, but that's even worse)
2. Bh6-g8+ ...Rg6-h6 or B-h5, doesn't matter.
3. QxRh6 or qxBh5, depending on which Black chose in 2. above.

Oh, I'm so sorry, but no, that's not the one. All the moves of the black are forced and the first move is crucial. :)

Of course! DOH! How could I have missed this? <slaps his head>

1.B-h8+ ...Bg4-h6 (forced)
2. QxB ...g5xQ (forced)
3. Rd6-h6++

Well, I think that you've found the solution :

1. Bh6f8 + ; Bg4h5
2. Qxh5 + ; g6xh5
3. Rd6h6 ++

Good work !

That'll be all for me today. I'm tired.

See you ! :)

White to move ; mate in five ! :)

Let me try off the top of my head (no chessboard).

How's this?

1. Qxg7+ ...KxQ (forced)
2. h7-h8/=Q+ ...Rd8xQ (forced...if K-g6, Q-h7++)
3. Ra5-g5+ ...K-f8 (forced)
4. Rh1xRh8+ ...Nf6-g8 (forced)
5. Rg5xNf8++

Yes ! Congratulations, you win !

You use a chessboard ?

Thank you. :-)

The Luncheon Special is called "Surfing the Net".

Enjoy!

White to Move and Mate in three.

It might be this :

1. Re7xg7+ ; Kh8
2. Rg7e7+ ; Kg8
3. g6xh7 ++

:)

OOOH! A nice try, really. But after 2. Rg7e7+ ...Rf8-f6 spoils a mate in two. The Black King now has an exit to f8, threatening the Rook. Keep the title of the problems in mind, they often provide a helpful clue. ;)

Sorry, my mistake ! :)

1. Re7xg7+ ; Kh8
2. Rg7xh7+ ; Kg8
3. Rh8++

You see, Robert, I'm not infallible ! :)

Exactly! Surfing 'round the rim of the net. (Heheheh)

Ding! Ding! Ding!

We have a winner!

Give the man a Cupie doll.

Congratulations, Anne!

Well done!
