The Luncheon Special is called "Surfing the Net".

Enjoy!

White to Move and Mate in three.

It might be this :

1. Re7xg7+ ; Kh8
2. Rg7e7+ ; Kg8
3. g6xh7 ++

:)

OOOH! A nice try, really. But after 2. Rg7e7+ ...Rf8-f6 spoils a mate in two. The Black King now has an exit to f8, threatening the Rook. Keep the title of the problems in mind, they often provide a helpful clue. ;)

Sorry, my mistake ! :)

1. Re7xg7+ ; Kh8
2. Rg7xh7+ ; Kg8
3. Rh8++

You see, Robert, I'm not infallible ! :)

3. Ra5-g5+ ...K-f8 (forced)

Whenever I look over these chessboards I realize my shoulders are exceptionally tense. Now I can untense them and let them act like wet noodles. She'll solve all the chess problems from now on . This is a good thing, it will help my back pains......damn...
damn.

[quote]Okay, here is my problem again :

Welcome to SETI@home, and to solving chess-problems. :)

Let's see if find a solution to your problem...

1; Qd1-g4+
Bf5xg4 (forced)
2; Bc4-f7 mate

[color=darkblue]Congratulations, you win ! :)))

Bah! Thank you, but no, I don't. I only get an "Honorable Mention". I see now that Ingleside got to it first, so he gets the Cupie.

(Now you can see the kind of headaches I get, awarding the prizes. It's an administrative nightmare! lol)

Yes, I see ! :)))

As for me, both of your answers arrived at the same time, so you are both the winner ! :)

As normal in the chess-thread, solution is put inside size=1-tag, so to see hit "Reply to this post". :)

A new problem then ! ;)

Chess problem

White to move. No instructions.

I haven't tried it yet. ;)

Good morning!

White Mates in two.

1. Rf1xBf5 ...KxB (if 1a. NxB: Qd1-g4++)

2.Bc4-d3++ ;)

Sorry ... That's not the one.

I just solved it. White move ; checkmate in two. The solution is indisputable.

Please try again, will you ?

Thank you !

Sorry : I should have added an explanation :

After : Rf1xBf5 : pawn h6 ! and the King escapes, or ; Qxd4+! and the white lose their queen ...

Need a clue ? Think of a sacrifice ! :)

Oh my...we've got competition from a smart gal. :-)....

And a team player too! :-)

Notice: "Black play one of their pawns". ...not "I play" or "Black plays" like you selfish males. LOL
Nice!

Thanks for the appreciation ! :)

Black move ; black moves ... Does it make a real difference ? English is not my mother tongue and I can't see any. Hmm ...
