You know........ I really gotta wonder what is up with some of the denizens of this forum...
If some people really wanna p&m about the whole credit crap (I know, here's another crap thread), why don't they just go off to one of the oc'ing sites and bitch about why their computer isn't running as fast as somebody else's?? I mean, who the freak cares??? If you are truly in this for the original goal, just do the best that you can, and hope that this whole project finally finds something to rock the world. The CHICKEN has done more to advance this project than many people have, just by incrementing the computing power of 1000's of cpu's by several percent. I, for one, am tired of seeing posts having anything to do about why my rac has dropped, etc. (having been an offendor in the past).

The points race is just a game, not the goal.

OK, fair enough, but this seemed to be where I saw the most complaints about RAC, etc.

And, hey.....i love the credit races myself, I currently have spent $1000.00's on new cpu's just to see how far I could advance in the credits against the rest of the world, and just got my bill from the energy people for $162.00 for last month (used to be about $32.00). But if yoou would like to move this thread to another forum, I understand.

I strongly agree on all counts there, especially for the improved egg scramblings from "The Chicken"! :-)

Nope.

The "Number Crunching" refers to processing/analysing the many numbers that make up the data for the signals recorded at Arecibo. Our computers 'crunch' through all that data.

The stats are just a bit of added fun for Human psychology...

Nope^2

The "Number Crunching" board is for "Credit, leaderboards, CPU performance". So whether you agree with it or not, the number crunching board is the right place to discuss those things.
