Remember, July 4 is a national holiday in the United States, Intel may be closed today.

Now all that's required is for Intel to get a move on and finally send me that darn license...still no email. I shall call them if I don't receive it this A.M. (they said two hours, it's been 18).

Regards,
Simon.

Don't forget Simon....it's a 4 day holiday weekend here in the states for many company's. Independance day (july 4th).

Could not have said it better myself:

No,

what I believe Ned is pointing out is that it is their decision. They are in no way required to share.

Obviously, a lot of people don't feel this is a good course of action. That does not change that it is entirely their right to choose to do it this way.

Still, there will be optimized apps for Windows for public download in at most a few days. All you need is a little more patience :)

Regards,
Simon.

So, assuming you have adequate shrubbery, how much does the kitty need before the license is fully covered?

I did the numbers in my head before but used a wrong conversion rate.

Actually, it seems 100% are covered -
Donations so far:

256 USD (200 EUR)
151 USD
200 USD
---
607 USD

PayPal fees were:
20,49 USD (low fees..er..right...~3% per transaction)

So all in all, it's actually ~586 bucks of a necessary 598, so I'd think that's close enough.

Regards,
Simon.

Well,

me too, but I did get an automated email telling me that Intel would process my order and ship it as soon as they could. I just assumed the actual license delivery would be automated, too, but it doesn't seem that way.

So anyway, guess everyone will have to wait at least til tomorrow if so :o)

Hi Simon,

First, I read about what happened to your website, and I hope that whomever is responsible is swiftly caught. That behavior is TOTALLY unacceptable, and I was very angry when I read about that.

Regarding your licenses, if you purchased the download versions, your licenses should have been emailed to you within minutes of your payment verification, along with the download links for the full product. Check your bulk mail folder, incase they got trapped by your ISP's spam filtering. If they are not there, I would suggest you email Intel's support team. With the full commercial versions, you will have access to Intel's Premier Support, and for critical issues, you will recieve an answer within 4 hours, 24 hours a day. You can contact their support for such an issue at quadsupport AT mailbox DOT intel DOT com. Best of luck to you!

Regards, Daniel.

Agreed.

When downloaded just the evaluation versions the licences and serials where sent almost instantly.
Were the licences maybe sent with the initial E-mail? They're sent as attachments so maybe been filtered because of that? or maybe there waiting for payment to clear from the CC?
I did get an automated email telling me that Intel would process my order and ship it as soon as they could.

Maybe they're sending a physical version by post?

Thanks Daniel and Pepperammi,

yeah, I thought the whole thing with the website getting listed as pornographic was a bit childish, too. Bit hard for me to track down, and I'm not about to spend any time or energy on it. They just got back to me, the site is now listed as "personal". Well, I wanted "health" or "medical" for www.zadra.org itself (cause it's a doc's page, not a personal page..but oh well, personal will do fine).

I chose "electronic" distribution when I bought it, so they should have sent it. Again, I can only surmise the July 4th weekend having some impact. And yeah, I also got the trial licenses immediately, but then I haven't bought any before.

I checked all the places where spam could have gotten caught, it's not there.

I just sent a message to the email address you suggested, let's see if they respond on a holiday.

Thanks,
Simon.

Well,

4 hours after sending my email to the address Daniel said, I haven't received a response. So I guess they're really out for July 4th. If I don't get the licenses early tomorrow, I'll call them and see what the problem is.

On a brighter note, 114 source packages (41 Linux, 73 Windows) and 409 clients (all Linux, 57 SSE, 352 SSE2) have been downloaded. In toto, there were 11200 pages served since I put it online late on the 26th of June (about 70000 raw hits). Keep up the good work people :o)

Regards,
Simon.

Hi Simon,

Sorry to hear that they have not yet responded, and I hope your issue gets resolved ASAP. I guess their website support is closed on holidays. Their Premier Support center does respond within 4 hours for issues that you designate as "showstopper" level, but the Premier Support only kicks in once you have registered your licenses, and is valid for a one year period with the full commercial licensed versions. Anyway, best of luck to you in getting your issues resolved ASAP.

Regards, Daniel.

Thanks again Daniel :)

I just wrote them emails to all addresses I could find related to Shop Intel. Maybe that will wake someone up. If I don't receive the licenses by 12:00 noon PST (the time zone they list), I'll call them finally.

International phone rates to the USA are pretty cheap these days, and definitely worth less than my nerves :o)

I really did not foresee any such complications when you actually *buy* a license. On trial downloads, I received everything (licenses and download links) within 2 minutes after ordering...

Ah well, if they make me call them, I'll give them a piece of my mind.

Regards,
Simon.

Electronic
Within two hours of ordering, Shop Intel customer service will email you instructions on how to download. Email instructions are sent during normal business hours. Also, you can select this option if you currently have an evaluation or demo copy that is expiring. There are no returns for electronic downloads.

EUREKA!
That seems to have had the desired effect. Finally got my licenses emailed :o)

I'm just now registering my serial numbers and grabbing downloadables.

Expect binaries within two days - I've already done lots of testing with the trial versions, so it shouldn't take too long.

Simon.

Okay,

I just released test builds for Windows to a closed test community (thank you, I have enough testers for now).

Once I get back some test data, I'll post some stats about speed and compatibility.

It won't be too long, if there are no problems, apps will be released for public download this week - probably within 2-3 days, maybe sooner, maybe later. Have Patience, please!

The need to produce valid results is greater than the need for speed.

Regards,
Simon.
