Remember, there is a 30 day delay in this chart. Not to burst anyone's bubble, but: The downward slope is not isolated to S@H... |

The downward slope is not isolated to S@H... Yeah - didn't they change their credit granting system as well (lower credit avgs). This just merely illustrates that the problem goes beyond the SETI project. There is still a problem obviously. http://www.setiusa.net |

Seems to be BOINC in general, the individual projects are just pieces of the larger puzzle. |

... and for perspective, it's about 10% for SETI, and 10% overall. If SETI users migrated to other projects, those numbers would be different. It could be as simple as Summertime (Northern Hemisphere). Seems to be BOINC in general, the individual projects are just pieces of the larger puzzle. |

No, there is definitely a higher power at work here! OK... So not exactly higher power...not even higher volts in some places... Oh well... :) |

Seems to me that a severe over-voltage would lead to a rather dramatic drop in the number of crunchers all at once. |

The World Community Grid project is actually funded by a major drug company. Your computer is giving a drug company free cpu cycles. IMO, you should be paid to do research for them or at least get a voucher for 10% off some drugs. Now, maybe if they agreed to share their findings with all the other drug companies (price competition being the best thing for consumers)... since we're all singing koombaiya... http://www.setiusa.net |

WCG is largely sponsored by IBM and the software they use is provided by United Devices. The research results are available to everyone in the hope that someone will make good use of it. In any case we all crunch what makes us happy. Proud member of Team Starfire World BOINC |

Well - not to mention a lot of the other BOINC projects, which the Farmacy industry eventually will benefit from. In return for CPU-cycles - you'll get some pourly tested medicine with horrible adverse effects. Happy chruncing ;-) Kiva Greetings from Norway Crunch3er & AK-V8 Inside |

In return for CPU-cycles - you'll get some pourly tested medicine with horrible adverse effects. If they cure you, they can't sell you any more medicine. And the more side effects it causes, the more drugs they can sell to offset the side effects. http://www.setiusa.net |
