Some words are used, and an example might be citizens, because of the way it translates. Prempted and tasks also seem to be a couple of others. People sometimes forget to think globally, when SETI sits in California. This is a world wide project, and does need to be understood by many, many languages.

As for the advertisements, commercial profit ones I believe the ones are targeted. If they didn't allow any advertisement, how could their own donation requests be advertised? What about teams looking for new members?

Even "silly" questions have answers that are not so silly.

AFAIK, the country stats are for all people from there who have gotten credit, not for the whole population.

Would be an interesting exercise in programming to keep up with population growth and changes ;)

Regards,
Simon.

As I was glancing throught the Detailed Statistics page, I noticed the line that says, "Accumulated more credit than % of all fellow citizens".

Now, about the "citizens" portion, is that in reference to the user's associated country or a broad reference to the citizens of the planet earth, or a unique reference to citizens of some kind of group?

-----------------------------

The other silly question I've got is in reference to the rules on the left hand side when posting here. The first item that says, "No commercial advertisements.", is that specifically in reference to only "for-profit" advertisements, while "non-profit" advertisements are ok, such as a "save the trees" campaign. OR are ALL advertisements of any kind the reference intended???

If "All advertisements" is what is forbidden, then it should read "No advertisements of any kind, for profit, non-profit, charitable, or freebies."

For profit: One Candy Bar for 25 cents!

For non-profit: Save the trees!

For charity (non-profit): Searching for donations to save the last dinosaurs!

For freebies (non-profit): Email me if you want a free turtle at turtle@overhere.com

ps: No, I don't plan to advertise anything...
