When, if ever, is BOINC going to support the Secure Windows Desktop? I've got domain admin access and there's no way in heck I'm going to leave my desktop unlocke! I realize that work units *are* still being processed, but it would be nice to have the screen saver running as well! |

So, my guess is that nobody knows when it will be fixed. It is open source, so if you really want to take a crack at it, you are welcome. Berkeley will have to pass your changes though. |

Although I'd love to learn to program, I think this sort of thing is a bit ambitious for me to learn on. :D My feeling is, if enough people gripe about it, maybe someone at Berkeley will take a few minutes to modify the code to support secure desktop. I mean, how hard can it be??? There are PLENTY of other screensavers out there that support secure desktop. Why can't BOINC? |

Why can't BOINC? > I believe that it has to do with running another process to do the graphics. The screen saver belongs to BOINC, but the graphich are produced by the project executables. |
