Add this one: People who use handicap parking so they can just run into the store for a few minutes, or wait in their cars for another doing the same thing. At least if they are still in their cars there is at least the possibility they will move if a handicapped person arrives. This was a problem at a University I attended. Until one handicapped person was hurt while using a normal (gravel) parking lot. They won the lawsuit. My ex-brother in law has a spinal tumour which now has disabled him totally, so he's now using a wheelchair, but before, when he could walk on crutches but not very far, and he wanted to park on one of the handicap spaces, and they were taken by people, who parked there illegal, the walk was too strenuous for him. People, who are too lazy to walk those few steps steps extra, should really try to be handicapped and be unable to walk. And official offices with stairs to the entrance without any ramps for wheelchairs. And doctor's clinics sited in places, where there's no easy entrances. Here there're only two eye specialists, both with clinics on first floor with steep staircases and no elevators. Many people with reduced eyesight and elderly people have problems with going up and down the stairs. "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me ID: 339615 ·

She was trying to go into a store to buy milk or some such and when she returned there was a rookie cop giving her a ticket because she didn't have the proper tag, etc. she finally went to court and the judge, being sensible, tossed that right out as a waste of his time and admonished the officer for wasting everybody's time..mind you, this was a broken femur...she didn't know any better to get a special tag.....
