The money they fought over was the remains of the book money. Also keep in mind that the FIRST book was the only one they got any money from. They recieved none of the profits from any of the books and movies that came after the first one.

I don't completely disregard the comments made during the divorce, but having had a family that went through a divorce, I know that people saying something to make the other party look bad isn't unusual. Those comments in that context should be taken with a grain of salt.

Did you ever see that sceptical show on Discovery/TLC/History channel..whatever....about the truth behind the Amityville situation and George Lutz? It's been a long time but it exposed alot of the hoakem.

I mean, I'm possessed by demons personally and know for a fact that they just do NOT act that way....LOL

Actually ( and for a change ) I actually did see that program. Wasn't it nice of them to compartmentalize the whole thing for us?

One thing to keep in mind is this...the Lutz family didn't make much money ( relatively speaking ) from the story.

I honestly do think that most of the Amityville story was a falsehood, but on the other side of the coin, I have been in a house when some VERY strange things were happening. That experience was what got me checking into some of the paranormal occurences, and it's also why I cannot bring myself to flat out discount the existance of ghosts or whatever they may be.
