Yes, I had admitted that the specifics had not been right. The sulphur was the was the stabilizer or as you called it, antioxidant. I asked you 5 or posts or so to tell me what stabilizers were in the fuel and I'd tell you what attacked the iron. Or had you forgot to follow, you seem to have problems with advancing with the issues. As stated many posts back: And as for the antioxident used it is 2,6-ditertiary butyl-4-methylphenol and it's important to note that while antioxidents improve storage stability, they are not effective at improving the fuel's thermal stability. This is the antioxident/stabilizer that is allowed. It's also closely related to the more commonly known BHT. You might notice it also listed as a preservative/antioxident in many foodstuffs. |

I'll say more after I can actually load the Chevron pages. It's been 5 minutes and it still won't load. Well, it seems that most of the information is for avgas for reciprocating piston engine aircraft. From aircraft medicine link: Aircraft atmosphere contamination can include— You're still posting about the wrong fuel. TEAM LL |

I think you threw the first stone....
This is in your first response to Sleestack, real nice stuff as an opening for further discussion.....
Now if this was the crux of argument (the supporting data) why didn't you post it during your argument with sleestack?
Where do you get this stuff from?? Have you ever heard of the word tolerance? Perhaps you should try it sometime...... Belief gets in the way of learning

I need to stop leaving the science board. The time before this, I actually got into it with two people which I put on my ignore list, one of which was captain Avatar for directly calling me "dumb". I'm sure that there's no bias here... Just these four sources will tell you that NO Jet fuels of any kind contain teraethyl lead: http://www.chevron.com/products/prodserv/fuels/bulletin/aviationfuel/toc.shtm http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/leadsafe/leadinf6.htm http://www.pilotfriend.com/aeromed/medical/toxic.htm http://www.cavalrypilot.com/fm1-506/ch1.htm Dodgy? Dodgy? Because someone knows nothing of what they're talking about. Ignorance is the mark of a champion? Some of his own quoted texts even allude to the fact that there's no lead in jet fuel (unless it's been contaminated). Spoiled know-it-all children just grate on my nerves. It's just the way I am. And I also understand that the only personal attack here was committed by him against me. As for the Australian DoD paper he posted it's fine but it has absoluteky nothing to do with the FACT that NO Jet fuel contains tetyraethyl lead and the mention about JP8+100 that he makes has NOTHING to do with commercial aviation Jet-A that I addressed. I even stated earlier that JP class fuels are Military fuels that DO contain additives, sometimes many but NONE of these contain tetraethyl lead. If anyone can show me different than please do! I'll just slink away and think about the money I've wasted by going to school to learn about it. And as for his comment that I don't know the difference between a Cessna and a Jet airliner that was just insulting. I fly a Mooney Bravo and when I say AVGAS anyone who else is a pilot or mechanic or has anything to do with flying KNOWS that's not Jet fuel but that it's leaded gasoline for reciprocating engines. I sure as hell wouldn't put Jet-A in my Bravo because if I did I'd find myself in a heap of trouble at 1000ft. when the engine died. Read the big red letters in my sig! |

I'm sure that there's no bias here... Hmmm looks like i missed something....... Ahhh calm down Sleestack, i thought you handled HBS exceptionally well, you kept your cool when she was losing the plot. This is the mark of a champion! The mere fact that the other person is losing their cool means something is dodgy. If you ever discuss anything with Brainsmashr or TomK you will know what i mean, they go straight for the jugular (personal attack). But then they also don't have a clue how to have a civil discussion....LOL.... (so its quite predictable). And i think your DOD post was quite on the money.(i'm no chemist and my chem is very rusty but i did do 1/2 a science degree before switching to Comp Sci.) Anyways input from the both of you is appreciated here and i hope you reconsider and come back. Please don't take this thread TOO seariously. It's supposed to be fun..... The article you gave the link to states that the Lutz fammily had a book deal....but according to George Lutz in an interview with Art Bell....the family didn't make much of anything from the story. The Amityville Horror: Amityville: Horror or Hoax? A Look Behind the Facts -- & Fallacies --- of this Classic Case by Troy Taylor There seems to be little doubt that one of the most famous American hauntings to ever be documented occurred in the quiet town of Amityville, New York, a peaceful enclave on Long Island's South Shore. There stands no other case in the latter part of the 20th Century that so captured the imagination of the general public ---- and no other case that filled us with such fear. It was a story that seemed almost too frightening to be true ... and the reason for that? Likely because it was! ... The Amityville Horror House Located on a side street in Amityville, this house may hold some very dark secrets. Is it haunted? How were the DeFeo's killed? Exploring the history of this house through various sources, including a first hand acount, brings out only more questions. This is probably the most infamous property on Long Island. For those of you who may be unfamiliar with the details, you may find this interesting. Some of these details make absolutely no sense at all. ... And my favorite: A Foamy toon about Amityville: AMITYVILLE TOASTER Don't put wafles in the toaster! ;-D "I'm trying to maintain a shred of dignity in this world." - Me

Anyways, I'm clicking on back to science section where people deal with real evidence. TEAM LL |

When I delete an offending post I must delete the responces, only if the quotes contains the offensive post, your free to repost with out the quotes. Thank you Captain. I appreciate the explanation. I am still a bit fuzzy about what the offensive part was though. lol No big deal. I don't need to repost my comments, the person they were directed to saw them. = - ) Air Cold, the blade stops; from silent stone, Death is preordained Calm Chaos Forums : Everyone Welcome |

Ok here is the deal. I just recieved two notices from the admins about " offensive " language in this thread. I am not sure what it was that was offensive, but it had to do with this particular conversation. So, as of RIGHT NOW, it stops. Back to the topic. She spent a lot of time trying to belittle me with no new information and repeatedly tried to put me down by saying that I didn't know what I was talking about. I may not have had the specifics right at first but my assumptions of the stabilizer were spot on and confirmed by the DoD and the Subcommittee on Aviation. I pointed out that she posted a memorandum on the wrong fuel. I even got the PLONK! from her when I was getting too close to actually proving her wrong. I'm the only one that I found that seemed to bother her. Who was she directing toward? I'm sure I'd have enough evidence in a court of law. TEAM LL |

She can take jabs and I can't? You can take jabs if you wish. However, HER jab could be applied to more than one person. Your jab was of a more personal nature, directed at her in part because of her screen name. That's the way I saw it. If I am incorrect and there are a few more of us that have silicone implants (H.B. I don't know if you do and it really doesn't matter ) who will step up and say that they do, I will be more than happy to apologize for my mistake. Until a few more females step forward and say they have implants, then " jabs " in that vein will remain too personal. The implication was unnecessary. I said before that I wouldn't say anything about the arguments unless they started getting personal. Well....that was close enough to personal. No more in that vein of conversation folks. Air Cold, the blade stops; from silent stone, Death is preordained Calm Chaos Forums : Everyone Welcome |
