what? 10 virtual desktops hans? now taht is overkill!
iu have 2 or 4 at any one time

You get kind of used to it:

I have one for firefox, one for thunderbird, one for openoffice, 2-3 to shepherd my crunchers, one for vmware, one for Kaffeine, etc... :o)

Regards Hans

P.S: @Simonator:

Debian is not for the faint of heart -

The "stable" release is always a bit dated,
and the "unstable" is - well - unstable :o)

I always get sweaty hands when doing a dist-upgrade on my main box.
I more than once had to revert to an older kernel because the new one wouldn't boot :o)

i woudl seriously recmed SUSE 10.1 for anyone who has used windoze for a whild and wants to start using linux, the installer is easy to use if a little slow and with KDE it is easy to use as you would windows, then you can experiment more and more untill you are fully competant in linux,

i woudl recomend http://www.linuxquestions.org to help you get started

Hi Simonator, you can switch to Linux now if you like.
The most important Windows app works fine under wine:

:o)

Lol, fantastic.

I'm intending changing to Debian, whats stopping me is that ive spent a year getting my pc exactly how i like it, not sure if i want to lose that.

Anti-Windows Taglines - Windows doesn't work!

Fer sail cheep, Windows spel chekker, wurks grate!

If at first you don't succeed, you must be using Windows ...

If WINDOWS sucked it would be good for something.

Windows is fne for Hih Sped Communicatns ...

Windws is ine for bckgroun comnicaions ...

If I only had a nickel for every time Windows crashed ...

It works fine except when I am in Windows.

Windows v47.4 - We * * FINALLY * * got it right!!!

Windows is as stable as a model of a skyscraper made ofŤ
playing cards.

I wished Windows sucked! Then it's be good for something!

Anti-Windows Taglines - Real windows!

Air conditioned environment - Do not open Windows.

When you open WINDOWS, you let BUGS in!

I use Windows...on my car, on my house, but not on my ...

Windows... just another pain in the glass ...

Hark! What rock through yonder window breaks?

It's curtains for Windows!

Windows - Just another pane in the glass.

Windows? I thought they were all broken?

Even my cleaning lady won't do Windows.

Anti-Windows Taglines - Animals!

Dogs crawl under Gates, software crawls under Windows!

Cats like Windows, it seems to attract Mice...

I can't use Windows. My cat ate my mouse.

Anti-Windows Taglines - Windows is SLOW!

Nothing beats Windows, it keeps loading and loading and loading ...

Speed kills! Switch to Windows ...

The best way to accelerate Windows is at escape velocity.

How do you make WINDOWS faster? Throw it harder!!!

They'll release Windows 3.2 when 3.1 finishes loading.

If speed scares you, use Micro$oft Windows!

Windows is fast, PKZIP is good, and hell has frozen over.

Windows to 486/50 mhz CPU: Don't rush me, don't rush me ...

Windows is made by MicroSOFT, not MicroGOOD, MicroRIGHT, or MicroFAST.

Try Windows...for a good night's sleep while you wait...and wait ...

Pick two: 1)Fast 2)Right 3)Cheap 4)Windows (counts as 2)

Make Windows fly...put it on the space shuttle ...

Ever notice how fast Windows runs? Neither did I ...

Speed kills! (Microsoft's Windows publicity slogan)

For sale: Hourglass for timing Windows.

The funny thing about this one...whoever wrote it does not know how to write sixty-six dollars and six cents.

$66.6 would be six dollars and sixty cents.
$66.06 would be sixty six dollars and six cents.

But, I give it an A for effort...
