I got a "error 403: Forbidden!" Cool, that link works fine. I can not see an optimized enhanced version for Pentium M, not sure if this means there is none available or to use one of the others. Anybody know which to use on a Pentium M? Thanks |

are we up to 5.14 now? any updates on apps_info.xmlHere's what I'm using for Windows clients right now. Should hold through the rapid version updates through at least 5.19, assuming no change in naming conventions or compatibility issues. <app_info> <app> <name>setiathome</name> </app> <file_info> <name>setiathome_4.11_windows_intelx86.exe</name> <executable/> </file_info> <app_version> <app_name>setiathome</app_name> <version_num>411</version_num> <file_ref> <file_name>setiathome_4.11_windows_intelx86.exe</file_name> <main_program/> </file_ref> </app_version> <app> <name>setiathome</name> </app> <file_info> <name>setiathome_4.18_windows_intelx86.exe</name> <executable/> </file_info> <app_version> <app_name>setiathome</app_name> <version_num>418</version_num> <file_ref> <file_name>setiathome_4.11_windows_intelx86.exe</file_name> <main_program/> </file_ref> </app_version> <app> <name>setiathome_enhanced</name> </app> <file_info> <name>setiathome_5.12_windows_intelx86.exe</name> <executable/> </file_info> <app_version> <app_name>setiathome_enhanced</app_name> <version_num>512</version_num> <file_ref> <file_name>setiathome_5.12_windows_intelx86.exe</file_name> <main_program/> </file_ref> </app_version> <app> <name>setiathome_enhanced</name> </app> <file_info> <name>setiathome_5.13_windows_intelx86.exe</name> <executable/> </file_info> <app_version> <app_name>setiathome_enhanced</app_name> <version_num>513</version_num> <file_ref> <file_name>setiathome_5.12_windows_intelx86.exe</file_name> <main_program/> </file_ref> </app_version> <app> <name>setiathome_enhanced</name> </app> <file_info> <name>setiathome_5.14_windows_intelx86.exe</name> <executable/> </file_info> <app_version> <app_name>setiathome_enhanced</app_name> <version_num>514</version_num> <file_ref> <file_name>setiathome_5.12_windows_intelx86.exe</file_name> <main_program/> </file_ref> </app_version> <app> <name>setiathome_enhanced</name> </app> <file_info> <name>setiathome_5.15_windows_intelx86.exe</name> <executable/> </file_info> <app_version> <app_name>setiathome_enhanced</app_name> <version_num>515</version_num> <file_ref> <file_name>setiathome_5.12_windows_intelx86.exe</file_name> <main_program/> </file_ref> </app_version> <app> <name>setiathome_enhanced</name> </app> <file_info> <name>setiathome_5.16_windows_intelx86.exe</name> <executable/> </file_info> <app_version> <app_name>setiathome_enhanced</app_name> <version_num>516</version_num> <file_ref> <file_name>setiathome_5.12_windows_intelx86.exe</file_name> <main_program/> </file_ref> </app_version> <app> <name>setiathome_enhanced</name> </app> <file_info> <name>setiathome_5.17_windows_intelx86.exe</name> <executable/> </file_info> <app_version> <app_name>setiathome_enhanced</app_name> <version_num>517</version_num> <file_ref> <file_name>setiathome_5.12_windows_intelx86.exe</file_name> <main_program/> </file_ref> </app_version> <app> <name>setiathome_enhanced</name> </app> <file_info> <name>setiathome_5.18_windows_intelx86.exe</name> <executable/> </file_info> <app_version> <app_name>setiathome_enhanced</app_name> <version_num>518</version_num> <file_ref> <file_name>setiathome_5.12_windows_intelx86.exe</file_name> <main_program/> </file_ref> </app_version> <app> <name>setiathome_enhanced</name> </app> <file_info> <name>setiathome_5.19_windows_intelx86.exe</name> <executable/> </file_info> <app_version> <app_name>setiathome_enhanced</app_name> <version_num>519</version_num> <file_ref> <file_name>setiathome_5.12_windows_intelx86.exe</file_name> <main_program/> </file_ref> </app_version> </app_info> As always, YMMV - but hope it helps! |

When I download the SSE2 application from Crunch3r it only contains the exe file. Is there another file that I also need , I remember that there was an pb? file as well???No, the exe is all you need - there were pdb files with standard SETI, but he's using a new compiler (I think) for enhanced which doesn't require the external file. You do need a new app_info.xml, of course - there's a suitable one on a separate download link on Crunch3r's page. |

Hey Crunch3r, I have one question, i found this comment on your site... "NOTE: Signal counting only works properly if the application stays in memory" Does this mean i cant restart my computer in the middle of a workunit or else ill end up with a non valid unit? or is it just in the best interest of accuracy (i already changed my preferences to keep the application in memory). |

No, its only when you run more than one project and the manager preemted a unit and remove the app from memory. But the result is ok only no signal count. regards Mike With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |

Darkstar. I have put your app_info file on a number of PC's and they seem to be crunching OK BUT in the messages it says: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM||Data directory: C:\\Program Files\\BOINC 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM||BOINC is running as a service and as a non-system user. 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM||No application graphics will be available. 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Found app_info.xml; using anonymous platform 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml: 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM||Processor: 1 GenuineIntel Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1.73GHz Is this going to be a problem ?? 17/05/2006 5:56:13 PM|SETI@home|Unparsed line in app_info.xml:I got that when I put in blank lines to improve legibility. Try taking out any/all blank lines, and re-starting BOINC. If all the 'unparsed line' errors go away, then you've got the important bits right! |

Darkstar.You can get a cleaner copy of his app_info.xml by going to his post and hitting the reply button. That way you won't get the extra blank lines. Darkstar used the preserve format directives, which help by retaining indentation so helps readability a lot, but unfortunately pads each line. The copy from the reply page technique is even more useful when grabbing posted versions by people who did not use the preserve format directives. (edited to correct spelling errors) |

Darkstar's app_info.xml is already almost out of date. One of my machines has downloaded several enhanced 5.19 tasks. Shouldn't be tooo difficult to modify, though. |

Hello! I´m going here around in the community since a few days because of the new S@H Enhanced... I think... or I know... When you are a "normal" S@H user, then you must look here: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/apps.php what kind of S@H Enhanced Version release is now for you. Because you are not a "BETA" user! When you use a WU that is higer than in the list, these are BETA- WUs! And not for "normal" users! Because they make the "normal" and the "BETA" WUs on the same machine! When I´m wrong... Please tell me the truth... :-) Now there are the V5.15 WUs for the "normal" users... I talk about Windows/x86... :-) Greetings! are we up to 5.14 now? any updates on apps_info.xmlHere's what I'm using for Windows clients right now. Should hold through the rapid version updates through at least 5.19, assuming no change in naming conventions or compatibility issues. |

The latest released version is 5.15, this hopefully fixes a Win9x timer bug. 5.13 and 5.14 were only released in Beta. Andy |

Yes, yes I know... :-) I take only the V5.12 and V5.15 WUs... But I think there are a lot of "normal" S@H user they take all Versions in the same time! V5.12 maybe to V5.19... What will be with this WUs? When a few versions are only for "BETA" users, but the "normal" S@H users take this WUs too? I say this here only that the other users know this too! :-) The latest released version is 5.15, this hopefully fixes a Win9x timer bug. |
