I will assume, but not know, that it works even if you don't get an enhanced unit to crunch?
I downloaded it and will start using it asap. I LOVE your apps they have really helped me climb the charts.

One of the links is wrong on the Crunch3r site. The 512_SSE3 link points incorrectly to the 511_SSE3 zip.

It should point to Enhanced_5.12_IPP_AR_FPOPS_SSE3.zip

I've completed 2 enhanced WUs using the 511 enhanced app and the credit claim was really high, improperly high I think. I am using the truXoft client (for Einstein) but I had turned off the calibration for Seti. I thought that the enhanced app only counted the FPOPs. Is it just something peculiar to the 511 app that is fixed in the 512 app? I hope so anyway - I don't want to be seen as trying to cheat on the credits.

The 5.12 app (mine) was fixed to match the official 5.12 in credit claims.

@Crunch3r
Just a quick question...
Does your 5.12 app need "libfftw3f-3-1-1a.dll" or not ? or the pdb file ?

I used your 5.11 , but then went back to standard 5.12 because of the higher credit claimed on 5.11. But will now use your 5.12 after my current wu finishes.

And BTW, Thanks for the good work !

It doesn't need fftw. I'm using intels IPP which is faster. You can remove it from the app_info.xml (but leaving it in there does not harm the app.)

I'm going to guess that in order to prevent Boinc from re-downloading the standard Seti app that I'll still need the app_info file - because the exec name is the same.

Is it correct to just change the file_ref for the executable?

From:
<app_name>setiathome_enhanced</app_name>
<version_num>512</version_num>
<file_ref>
<file_name>setiathome_5.11_windows_intelx86.exe</file_name>
<main_program/>
</file_ref>

TO:
<app_name>setiathome_enhanced</app_name>
<version_num>512</version_num>
<file_ref>
<file_name>setiathome_5.12_windows_intelx86.exe</file_name>
<main_program/>
</file_ref>

It is for 5.11 but not 5.12.....is 5.11 OK to use or is it bugged?

[edit] Oops..I must be blind. I could have sworn both links were SSE3 a minute ago.

There's a SSE2 enhanced app for Windows x86 on the Crunch3r site - just go there and look.

I don't want to post a direct link because the site might be keeping track of visitors.

Thanks for the good work crunch3r have been using your apps for a while now and I have to say they are top notch!

So as i understand it there is no need for a calibrating client as enhanced works in a different way, right?

Just one thing I didn't really understand on your website..."NOTE: Signal counting only works properly if the application stays in memory" Does this mean that Boinc must be running all the time or exiting it will damage the WU beyond repair?

Thanks in advance

I had to get rid of my trux client in order for this one to work, for some reason boinc wanted to crash every time it tried to start the enhanced worker.

Using the "default" boinc it works perfectly!

Thanks Crunch3r!
