Bottom of the page: BOINC Clients for Windows

A switch option between SSE and SSE2 is not an option, as the BOINC client is compiled as per what SSE option to use.

Then again, with the new upcoming Seti Enhanced option, the optimized Boinc client is moot, as the credits SE is giving out aren't based on the benchmarks vs length of running time of the results, but based on the Floating Operations per second of your CPU.

Yet until SE is here, go ahead.

The computer that downloads work units for Seti, must also upload them. The units are registered to the computer's hostID. That is why your computer shows as the machine that downloads the units (and probably uploads them as well).

BOINC itself doesn't crunch, so you don't need a client that is SSE/SSE2/SSE3 compatible. Only the optimized Seti cruncher from Crunch3r's page needs these optimizations.

Thanks for the answer but its wrong.

I need an optimized client to crunch the worunits!
The client ist the seti@home....exe Boinc isnt the client!
Boinc is so you will an kind of Server manage the Client Seti@home or Folding@home and so on.
But boinc also have to optimized because the Benchmark in it.
The Benchmark reconize how much worunits have to be downloaded over time.
For an Pentium mmx and 10 days duration to reconect you need 25 files and for an amd 64 x2 3800+ you need over 100 files as example.
becuse it is much faster as the P-MMX.
When you use an optimized Seti Client from Cruch2rs page you also have to change the boinc software because the faster client.

I have an Internet Computer Sempron 2800 thats right.
But i didnt compute the Workunits with it.
I´m have an AMD X2 3800+ Prozessor @2200Mhz.
On seti@home Page here is still the sempron 2800 prozessor.
I catch the Workunits with it and take them over an USB Stick to the other Computer.

Also i need an Boinc client that is compatibel with SSE SSE2 and SSE3 automatic because i transport Boinc on an 1024Megabyte USB Stick from one Computer to the other.
I need a Funktion to switch between the Seti Clients for SSE SSE2 SSE3 without corruption in the Workunits.
I have the Seti Clients from Crunch3r s page and they are extrem fast.

Ist time to create an SetiClient working on all Prozessors with max speed.
When one Prozessor have SSE or SSE2 it schould automatic switch on or off the features.
So i dont have to change between the boinc or Seticlient Versions all the time when i change the Computer.

If you find an error in the Text you can get it :-)
Mfg Car
