Just to let you know, BOINC Developers have turned on the XML stats generation AGAIN.

This means my stats site is now updating its stats for EVERYONE. All teams, individuals, countries, hosts!

The stats now include a 7 days HISTORY function, and also a day, week and month rank change on many of the pages.

Have a look and check back DAILY to see how your moving up through the rankings!

Yep, my stats site is also up and running. It looks like they added a field to the XML files? Haven't looked at it yet. My loader program ignores fields it isn't programmed for. Or maybe they added it a while ago and I just haven't seen it until now :) Now I just need to get cross-project stats working. Getting a job was good in that I now get paid... but now I have less time for coding :)

Is possible somehowe to take just data from ONE team? I would like to do a stats table for our team but I don't have resources to download whole XML files.
Or may somebody do a extract for me, I will keep link to his page on out team page, or something ...

RAC is Recent Average Credit (or Expected Credit)

I think Janus is doing this (or soon to be doing this) for people at www.boinc.dk Have a look around there in the downloads section, under XML

Replace PROJECTID and USERID with the approriate variables - for instance "sah" and "641059".

gives me possibility to aske periodicaly for users data from our team. List of users ID's is easy to take and then ask boinc.dk for detialed info for every user and process it.

Thanks again, I will write to Janus, what he is planning to do more in this area or how he can help me with it. Our team is quite small :o( so no big traffic expected.

Hi Zain,

You are doing tremendous work and I'm sure everyone is very grateful. I've certainly been very impressed with your efforts.

However I'm going to say something which might get me flamed but needs to be said: Please do *not* click on the Google ads just for the sake of boosting your income. The main reasons are:

(1) Advertisers are honest people paying honest money for these clicks. By clicking fraudulently, you are stealing money from them. Sure it's going to a good cause, but it's still stealing.
(2) Fraudulent clicking lowers the value of Google ads for advertisers, who then reduce the amount of money they are prepared to bid, which lowers the value of the entire program for yourself and everyone else.
(3) You will get your Adsense account cancelled if Google hears about this. Seriously, I've seen it happen. All it takes is for someone who doesn't like you to see your post and forward it to Google. They may send you a final warning or they may cancel your account immediately (and keep any money owing).

I am a website provider myself - I produce free resource sites such as www.mediacollege.com which rely entirely on Google ads for survival. I completely understand how difficult it is to provide free websites and your need to recoup costs. However this is not the way to do it.

You are very right, and thankyou for the honest and open candid advice. I have removed the comments from the original post, and now will be telling people (IF ASKED, otherwise I wont say anything) click on the links if ad interests you.

Thanks for the kind comments on the stats. If anyone from the greater community has suggestions I am always open to them.

I'm hoping to spend a bit of spare time working on my own new SETI site and I'll be happy to give your site a plug, as well as the others around here that have good sites. Hopefully we can generate enough interest that the genuine click-through traffic will be ample :)

Individual pages now also show rank changes for in the world, team, along with the last 7 days credits you and those around you have returned (in line with Pred and CPDN). People seem to love the little arrows!
