I think this has nothing to do with the configuration of your router. I suspect this to be a problem in the serverconfiguration or database on the Berkeley site. I have the exact same problem on my own systems. My installation operates in a small home network which is operational for more than a year now. It always worked fine but I have this problem for some days now. Look at the listing which is more or less the same as yours.

i managed it so it connects me to the seti server but now:

some idea why boinc cannot connect to seti server?

so i did it like you discribed it:
PING 128.32.18.173
avg 221ms 0% lost
PING 128.32.18.174
avg 220ms 0% lost
PING setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu
avg 222ms 0% lost
TRACERT setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu
-no error just reporting 14 pathways, after 224ms reached setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu
so it seems nothing is blocking the path or what?
I assume you have power off the router and the system at the same time, and then brought the router back up after a few minutes, followed by the system.

hm i didn't think i got the meaning of this sentence.
well me router is always on and i tried to install boinc yesterday but i got those problems (error 500) so i tried to adjust mtu but it didnt worked. and i have no idea why!
maybe some other ideas?


i tried it another time but its still reporting the same problem

You must have something, like a firewall or PROXY server, blocking access to the Scheduler URL/IP address. First go into your Firewall's configuration and check if the following URL or IP address are now blocked by the firewall and also that the BOINC programs still have access. Your firewall may not be as "deactivated" as you think.

Then try from a DOS/Command window pinging it by both IP address and the URL a few times to see if you can reach the server and that the URL address gets resolved to the correct IP addresses

PING 128.32.18.173
PING 128.32.18.174
PING setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu

Then try a Tracert command to see if something is now blocking the path.

[b]TRACERT setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu]/b]

i have a router, but i enabled tcp port 80. furthermore i tried to change the mtu - the problem above reported still remains
maybe you can help me to fix the problem

i tried to connect on seti@home, einstein@home and cern and i always got this report, so it has to be something on my connection.

my personal firewall on my pc is deactivated. please help
