I also have one of the 98 WU's in my cache right now http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=65493473

I don't know when the newest is from, I don't look too closely on them, they just crunch and upload.

But yes, this one is historic, I wish they won't delete them, so they stand just as the one from August last year, I still have in my results. ;-D http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=23426929

The seti classic calendar page indicates the first tape was December 15, 1998, but it is bad and so is the Dec. 16 tape. The first distributed tape was from Dec. 19 as of the last update to the calendar.

Wow, thanks for the link Joe. We are crunching some really historic stuff then, WUs from the very early days of S@H. It would be cool if the devs could create and update a similar web page for the BOINC web site. It helps add interest to the project.

I have had crunched some WUs recorded on 29 Feb 2004. The newist recorded WU I have is from 23rd March 2005.

I have done 23 WU from Dec 20, 1998. (the oldest I've crunched)
I have also done 36 from Dec 1, 2004. (The most recent)

I have no idea when the first WU was sent.

I just got one of those 20th Dec 1998 WUs. I joined SETI@home in Jan 2003 and prior to this '98 WU my oldest WU was from 6th May 1999.

I know the reasoning behind the old WUs being sent out (no issue with that) but it made me wonder:

1) What is the oldest WU you have crunched? Can you beat 20th Dec 1998?

2) When was the very first S@H WU sent out?

LOL, please no more WUs from 29th Nov 2003, I have already crunched 399 from this date ;-)

I have the WU dates history from BoincLogX and the calendar view in SETI@home mapview.
