Hey
I am running debian amd64 bit version. I have downloaded the debian packages for boinc according to the web page http://wiki.debian.org/BOINC#Installation
I have also downloaded the seti client for amd64 from
http://www.pperry.f2s.com/downloads.htm
I was able to attach to the seti project, download some work but for some reason I keep get the same error message.
Unrecoverable error for result xxx (process exitedwith code 2(0x2))
Then my computer downloads some more work and the same error message appears.
I tried searching around for an answer but have had no luck in finding any helpfull information. I am hoping someone out there might have a clue as to what is going on or point me in the right direction.
Thanks for any help

Set your project to "no new work". and exit boinc. You have your seti application either in the wrong directory, or it has the wrong filename, or it does not have the permissions set right. Here is the error message you are getting:
<stderr_txt>
2006-03-13 14:03:08 [SETI@home] execv(../../projects/setiathome.berkeley.edu/setiathome_4.07.3a_amd64-fftw3-static-pc-linux-gnu) failed: error -1
execv: No such file or directory

</stderr_txt>
Check and make sure you have it in the right place, and the filename matches,
Boinc just can't find it.
BTW, if you have an "app_info.xml" file make sure the filename in the file is an exact match for your actual application filename.
Once you have your application in the right place, restart boinc and reset your project. Don't let it download but one work unit until you see that it is going to start crunching right. Then you can turn it loose.
