TortoiseCVS is a pretty good window$ CVS program.

PS: It started as a simplified version of WinCVS apparently, so it doesn't have all the features of it and doesn't do Subversion (there is a seperate program for that)

OK, i don't believe this...

just for the sake of it (in an attempt to save switching to a different client) i tried one last time with WinCVS, and well, for some reason it now works and is currently downloading the contents of the CVS :)
