I seem to be having trouble connecting/ comunicating with seti and or bionc!! I cant upload finished work units , I cant download new work units and all opf my worki units are GONE EVERYTHINGS GONE!!
I tryied unattaching reataching resetting everyhting!!!
I recently had TWO projects of the same one going simultaneously , this must be an error or bug of some kind, so I unatached from the second one and now all my work that i have done so far is gone!! and I cant get any new work units , nothing cant seem to be able to connect to seti/ and or boinc!! what do I do?? (it seems we had a brown out earlier... could that be it??

Did you look in your messages and see what error you were having?

Announcements also indicated servers would be down for 3-4 hours today....

When ever you detatch from a project all work on your system is deleted, that is the last thing you want to do unless you are quitting a project.

There was a campus wide power outage at Berkley due to a storm. When ever they are down that long things get backed up on the user side and it takes a while for all the computers to report. When you reatach you will get more when your computer can get through the traffic and connect to SETI.

The SETI server was down a little while ago. It is back up now.
You may need to attach to the project again.

Whenever you use the reset or detach it will clear all of your work listed in the BOINC manager. It has to be used carefully but sometimes it can clear up problems and get things going again.

Maybe check the message boards or go to this set of graphs next time you have trouble connecting. inr-668

It is still looking kind of funny. It usually looks like it did before the gap.

P.S. If you click on the first graph in the upper left hand corner it will take you to a page that will let you select to look at weekly, monthly and yearly graphs to give you an idea of what to look for. Outages happen around here on occasion.
