Wonderful! Enhanced Work Units, take longer and you will get more credit, NOT! , lol, just like Washington every time someone tries to improve things then they go Bezerkley!
But we who love science must be loyal and continue to press onward and help our friends at Berkeley because they are great folk and deserve our assistance and that's the bottom line.

Umm... I don't know what you're on about, but yes, the "enhanced work units" will take longer to complete, and your credit will be given accordingly (or at least, they're working the kinks out of the credit system).

Since this is about the science, I don't see what the big deal is. I love watching my stats go up as well, but I'm not all that concerned about the specifics. As long as I get credit, I don't mind.

Is there a question or a problem in there, or just a rant?

Actually, NOT a Rant but a moarning of the fact that I am gravely ill and wish I did have 8 or 10 computers like many. But due to the fact that grave illness wiped out two thirds of everything I ever had I have only one computer and wish I had much more to give to the project. I really do think the world of the folks at SETI@home.
I fully expected a judgmental response as many in the world look for the possible negatives in a comment rather than the good.
I plan to process the data for the 3 projects I support until they shut down or my demise, which ever comes first.

First, I'm sorry to hear about your situation.

Second, and this might sound a bit harsh, but I'm going to put it very bluntly: I didn't look for negativity, as it's blatently obvious to others as well. I think the negativity was put in there by the author due to the unfortunate circumstance that life has handed them and as such has let the illness bring down their psychological well being into stating things in a negative sense, showing the true subconscious thoughts underneath in such a bad situation.

Not that I entirely blame you, as I have never been in such a position so as to properly pass judgement, so I really couldn't say I would be much better.

In saying all that, I can only hope you find happiness in however many days you may have left, and may they be many for you.

May whatever deity you believe in bless you tenfold.
