Somehow I fgound it and it was updated. I take back all I said then. Ok the next time it updates it should all be running again. But Now this creates another problem. How do i get the last years scanning over to my old account i have found and revived and how do I delete the MARCH2005 account. I do not understand why it couldn;t be found back in March of 2005 but it is found now.

Now if I can move the last years units over to the account I hav alsways has and delete the March 2005 account I will be happy. I usually don;lt do this but will someone e-mail me and tell me how to do this?

Thanks I didn't mean to be an Ass. But gosh that was a lot of work to lose and I did all my part! I really want to do this. I would raise Hell and complain and whine and ask for help if I didn't care and want to do it!

It seems as though you have an account that you crunched for one year on and one you crunched Classic under choose one and just crunch for that account in the future. You COULD make a Team and put both accounts in it but only have one that is accumulating credits from now on.
Good thing you made a second post, I ignore posts like your other one. Rantings and ravings lead to more rantings and ravings, in my experience.

Thanks Mikey. So I do I crunch? I would like to of course keep my older account. That is what I wanted to do from day one. It seems I was not aware a change was coming but I was lucky that I changed my e-mail address and told Seti about it before the change and it must have got done but didn't work till last night.

And please do not take this the wrong way or personal. I worked with the public since 1973. I took college courses in business and one course was on how to deal with people and angry people in customer service. I was a Doctor’s assistance and it was hard. I was his Nurse also in surgical procedures as well as in the office, phone and calling in prescriptions. Some are just rants and raves but some, if you listen. In a case of where they have did everything they were supposed to do and some how got lost through the cracks. It happens and usually you can deal with these people and it will not lead to more rants and raves. I guess I didn't practice what I was taught! Well Mikey I would read them if I were you. It is better to learn to deal with people and understand what is wrong instead of ignoring it. I was very calm the first 10 e-mails. Then I couldn’t e-mail any longer. So it was there it just got lost and someone got it moved over and it was done. I didn’t know that. Every time I tried it said my e-mail couldn’t be found. They kept finding the old e-mail account and my account wasn’t updated. But as you can see we are all happy now! We both got what we wanted!

So to sum it up and I am not trying to teach a class here but tell you what my feeling were when I acted that way. And it is true with any one. When one or myself is angry, mad or raving it is usually means that one (me) is scared of something. Fearful of something. When I get mad I have to ask myself what am I afraid of?

I guess I was afraid of losing all those years I scanned the units. I have a star chart of the systems I scanned and I felt part of the Seti group and felt like I was really doing something good! I was angry because I did my part and I felt like Seti dropped the ball on this one =after all my years of scanning. So I guess I got scared. That is what causes anger most of the time.

Thanks for answering and if you would tell me how to crunch I would appreciate it. I so much want top continue scanning the havens for a signal.
So please forgive me for getting angry. I am only human and I suppose to make mistakes. We all do. Ity is hard to deal with the public but I noticed when I took that attitude our office and patients load doubled! Like I said I didn’t practice what was learned in school. We are all human and are allowed some honest mistakes.

If I understand you correctly, you have two SETI-BOINC accounts now, one that's linked to your Classic account and a new one that you've crunched with BOINC. You want to switch from crunching data on this one to the other one, which will show your Classic history.

To do this, go to BOINC manager, on the Projects tab select SETI@Home and click the No New Work button. Let BOINC keep processing until it's finished any work you've already downloaded, uploaded and reported it. Detatch from SETI, then reattach using the original account's info. Sorry you won't be able to merge the two accounts, but that was one source of cheating under Classic that's been closed off for BOINC.

It looks as if you've got the team duplicated too, as #115314 and #61871. If you put both accounts into the #115314, all your BOINC credit will show for the same team. If you move both accounts to the other team, the earlier credit stays with the team, which will defeat the purpose.
