I haven't personally checked all the projects in production, but I haven't heard of any that works with only 64 Megs. Unfortunately, the clients are looking at the free RAM after the OS and other programs are running which reduce the available memory below the 64 Meg of your system. This problem is more or less artificial since the OS can use the HD to provide virtual memory.

The good news is that Seti probably will be reducing the 64 Meg limit in the next generation of its client software. This enhanced Seti is currently in its near final stage of testing. Until it is released to the general Seti population, you could contribute by attaching to the Beta Test Project. This processing takes from 8 to 10 time longer to do than the current client, since it does a much deeper analysis of the data. They are in need slower system like yours to make sure that the client work well with as many type of system posible.

The Beta testing is run as a parallel independent project to Seti.

EDIT NOTE
Do not detach from the main Seti, just suspend it until the new client is released.

SETI will be able to run with the memory you have, when the next version comes out.

Einstein will not run on your current configuration.

Hello,

just trying to hook up also an old W98 with 64MB RAM.
Seti says:

25.02.2006 01:00:32|SETI@home|Sending scheduler request to http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi
25.02.2006 01:00:32|SETI@home|Reason: To fetch work
25.02.2006 01:00:32|SETI@home|Requesting 17280 seconds of new work
25.02.2006 01:00:37|SETI@home|Scheduler request to http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi succeeded
25.02.2006 01:00:37|SETI@home|Message from server: Your computer has only 66576384 bytes of memory; workunit requires 532480 more bytes
25.02.2006 01:00:37|SETI@home|Message from server: No work sent
25.02.2006 01:00:37|SETI@home|Message from server: (there was work but your computer doesn't have enough memory)

However, Seti page says min requirements is 64MB, that's what I have.

So I assume, I don't have enough memory?

Can I get it to run without adding more memory?

Does Einstein run on 64MB?

Thanx for help,

Ranier.
