I'm alo wondering what it means on the stats as to the OVERTAKE coluums - make no sense to be - overtake WHAT OR WHO?

The way I've seen the term overtake used is it is referring to how many days until you overtake the next person, team or computer on the list.

On my BOINCstats world position a guy named "Roberto Biagiotti" would have overtaken me in one day. It looks like he will have to wait a little bit more.

I thought the meaning was that the statistics lie.
;)

Which is always true.

BOINCstats doesn't have your credit. [BOINCstats] Willy is just a guy like you or me, except a lot cooler, because he set up a website on his own to report the information that SETI/BOINC sends out for statistics sites like his.

SETI hasn't sent the information out in couple of days. It happens at times, but the credits eventually turn up. Maybe in one big lump that will give you a record for your best five days list.

I've only got one day on the list that I haven't broken this year.

Bonic Stats shows the last wu's transmitted on the 18th, and I've graphed for two days with NO ADVANCE, I've got 500 credits that are unaccounted for and stats say I didn't do anything for two days - THEY LIE.

I'm alo wondering what it means on the stats as to the OVERTAKE coluums - make no sense to be - overtake WHAT OR WHO?

Don't you think it's a bit harsh to accuse people of lying? Some don't like that.

indeed, i found this rather rude myself, but thought i wouldn't lower myself to that sort of childish level

i find boincstats (and yourself willy) to be very forthcomming with infomation, you always post a news item about important things, and keep those who are interested informed of current happenings, i don't think people could ask much more than that (at least reasonable people would be happy) i mean, you keep usres up-to-date more than some projects :) *cough* predictor *cough*

there are already several threads which discuss this, some of them have obvious names too, please read before posting, if you want the stats back, put less load on the database by not creating duplicate threads :)

questions about boincstats are best handled at boincstats

and before asking on their message board, taking up more space, please read their FAQ (the link's on the home page, couldn't be any easier)
FAQs have Frequently Asked Questions, your question falls into this category

i'll be helpful this time and direct you to the answer for your specific question (how is overtake calculated)

overtake is the number of days it will take for one user/host/country/team B to overtake another user/host/country/team, as stated in the boincstats FAQ: What columns are there in the stats?
and Where do the icons under options take you?

and the reason boincstats (as well as all the other stats sites) hasn't been updated can be found in yet another FAQ item (seeing the patern here?) How often is BOINCstats updated?
