[Average is sum the members and divide by the total number of members. Strictly speaking that's called the "mean". "Average" is broader in scope and can be used for any such measure: mean, median or mode--but if it's not clear from the context, it's safest to assume the mean is intended. Anyway, for the purposes of an informal conversation such as this, I think the term "average" is fine to describe the basis of credit-granting here, although "median" is more precise and specific. |

Basically it is done by an average. exactly the behavour of a medain, not an average 8) medain the middle result in an odd member set, or the averge of the two middle results in a even meber set. Average is sum the members and divide by the total number of members. The reason the what the diffrance is important large outliners [the high or the low] and change the average result. like say take one example set from beta 8) involing the -10mil bug 8) 196.63 196.62 -10mill the Median granted 196.62 if it had be the average the credit would be granted would have be eounr -3 milloon credits 8) uninstall dyslexica.o : Permission denied AMD Athlon 64 3000+ w/Windows AMD Athlon 1800+ w/Linux |

Basically it is done by an average. They take out the high and the low and the the number in the middle is what is granted usually. On a rare occasion I think I have seen a average of the two middle numbers. |

Basically it is done by an average. The way it has been working is that different machines and different operating system can claim a wide range of credits for doing the same work on the same work unit. Here is an example for you to take a look at. workunit You can look at your own by clicking the "YOUR ACCOUNT" at the top of the page. Then click the "View" next to where it say Results. Keep hitting the "Next 20 results" until you get to a finished work unit. Now click on the number below the blue "Work unit ID click for details". |
