Strictly speaking that's called the "mean". "Average" is broader in scope and can be used for any such measure: mean, median or mode--but if it's not clear from the context, it's safest to assume the mean is intended.

Anyway, for the purposes of an informal conversation such as this, I think the term "average" is fine to describe the basis of credit-granting here, although "median" is more precise and specific.

Basically it is done by an average. The way it has been working is that different machines and different operating system can claim a wide range of credits for doing the same work on the same work unit. Here is an example for you to take a look at.

You can look at your own by clicking the "YOUR ACCOUNT" at the top of the page. Then click the "View" next to where it say Results. Keep hitting the "Next 20 results" until you get to a finished work unit. Now click on the number below the blue "Work unit ID click for details".

How is RAC, and Credit actually figured, I see that I claim (e.g. 65 and receive 32) Any information on this would be greatly appreciated
