Where is the startup folder located that you mentioned. I would like to try dragging the BOINCMgr.Exe shortcut to that folder. Where exactly is it? I believe you meant to say to right-click the taskbar Start buton. Boinc V7.2.42 Win7 i5 3.33G 4GB, GTX470 |

And when you put your mouse cursor on the startup folder, right click on it, and select "Open all users" from the menu. Then create the shortcut to boincmgr.exe there. Then BOINC will start whenever any user logs on. Regards, Daniel.

Thank you for the advice. I uninstalled BOINC and reinstalled it and selected shared user. However this did not solve the problem. When a limited user logs on to this computer BOINC still does not start. I tried the uninstall/reinstall on a second computer with the same result. BOINC will not start when a limited user logs on. It can be started manually but I would like it to be automatic. Where is the startup folder located that you mentioned. I would like to try dragging the BOINCMgr.Exe shortcut to that folder. On my computer BOINC only starts automatically on computer start up only for the Administrator account. How can I make BOINC start automatically when a limitied User starts up the computer and logs on? What Install type did you chose when you installed BOINC? (Single User, All Users, or as a Service?) If you did a single user install, you should be able to just drag a shortcut to BOINCMgr.Exe into the Startup folder for each user you want to run BOINC. /edit I originally read your post as "when a limited (group) of users starts up". As Tony says, for All users just install as All users or as a Service.

I assume you picked "single user" during the installation of boinc. Uninstall, then reinstall and pick either "shared user" or "service". you should lose no work in the process. hope this helps tony |
