Blimey - a thread that brings an emotional tear to my eye despite my British stiff upper lip. No names, they've all been mentioned already. I stick around with this project because I can feel as if I'm walking with giants - there seem to be so few decent people in the world at times, yet here we have some of the best. You are a true generous person, and I'll also take this opportunity to thank you for your donations to this project. You have given so much! Crunch3r ... Ulrich Metzner ... Tetsuji Maverick Rai ... Prognatus ... Hans Dorn ... Idefix ... There are many kind and wonderful people here on these boards...and i appreciate them all...but if i had to pick one person whos kindness has been best of all...it would be Byron Leigh Hatch...Byron has been a good friend here...and a good example for all of us. There are way too many wonderful people here to list them all, but I would have to agree that one does stand out as a fine example of the compassionate person I aspire to be. I agree with all the kudos given, and would add (unless I've missed their names here, in which case I second): Barbarossa/Greybeard, stalwart on the Help Desk RRipley, on Help Desk Dotsch, on Help Desk Ingleside, developer and authoritative voice Thierry, Help Desk and Moderator trying to ride herd on the Science Board kinhull, writer of the mini-FAQ Pooh Bear 27, another Help Desk denizen And apologies to many others for not coming up with their names at 1:00 am local time. I won't be on much over the next couple of weeks, will be away from the home computer evenings and at opera rehearsals. But I'll peek in when I need a few minutes break at the day gig... Everyone who has been willing to answer good questions when others have problems with BOINC. There are to many to list, would be about 2/3 of the forum users. Ill add to this as well. I would like to say thank you to the folks at UCB, for working hard on making a great project even greater. We all definately appricate all the hard work you guys are doing. 2nd, I would like to say thanks to all those who helped out at the help desk during the time in which Classic was getting ready to close and those crunchers coming here. Without you guys SETI quite possibly would have lost a lot more than they did. You guys did an awesome job at helping and using your knowledge to get almost all of these guys (and gals)crunching again. Thank you. 3rd, to all the guys who do the optimizations. AWESOME!! I am really looking forward to moving on to the enhanced version, and checking out these optimized clients. 4th, Thanks to all the SETI crunchers who continue to crunch faithfully. Without each and every one of us, we would not be here today. Thank you to everyone. I hope everyone has a good year this year, and many well wishes to you all!! Jeremy
