This is the info for the app you are using.

Windows optimized S@H application by Crunch3r
Improvements by Tetsuji Maverick Rai, Hans Dorn, Harold Naparst, Ned Slider, Crunch3r, trux,...
$URL: svn://hnaparst.homelinux.com/seti_boinc/tags/naparst-r3.5/client/analyzeFuncs.cpp $
$Build: Windows SSE2 AMD Athlon64 V2.09s by Crunch3r $
$Rev: 166.03 Windows SSE2 AMD Athlon64 V2.09s $
$Internal: +16SMA;-PA;+IA;+EFL-P4P $
$Date: (08 Dec 2005) $

If memory serves me that app was replaced by Cruch3r because of a small bug. Try d/l it again and get the most resent version of the app and hope that you never see this problem again.

And God said"Let there be light."But then the program crashed because he was trying to access the 'light' property of a NULL universe pointer.

Jim

As I looked, it so happens I had the Same WU

This is strange, I do not think I have ever seen an invalid -9 before, hmmmm

SETI@Home Informational message -9 result_overflow
NOTE: The number of results detected exceeds the storage space allocated.

</stderr_txt>

Validate state Invalid

So I removed the Header and replaced it with a header from a WAV file and then ran it into my Audio Software... What I heard was

Los Angeles Tower, Flight 4967 Heavy... We are Declaring an Emergency... We have some Nut Claiming to be ET!

Thanks for this hint....

but it seems to be a little bit strange as i have never done any invalid WU since 1999.

Well, you never knew you did anyway. There was no way to tell if ones work was valid or not in classic. In boinc validity is mantatory. If this is an isolated case, I wouldn't worry, If it continues you'll need to examine your gear and figure out why it's happening.

We can help there.

It's probably outside the project's established error boundaries to qualify within the quorum.

It's the actual content of the Result Data Files that needs to be verified, not the amount of Credit given to the computers that processed it. It does this to ensure the science value of the processed Work Unit is valid. If your computer returns a different result than the other two (or more depending on the Quorum Size) computers, it will be flagged as invalid, and your Work Unit will be sent to another Participant's computer.
Validation Process.

Crunchers optimized client is working properly, i think. The fact that this was a sweet WU, it does not harm my stats, but i would like to know the reason for the "invalid" status.

I hope the rest of my WUs are getting the credit they will claim :-)

I'm thinking it might be due to cruch3r's app. But seeing as how you only invested just over a minute into it, I wouldn't worry too much

If you look at the page for your actual result, it was deemed 'invalid'.
The others show 'valid'.

Hi all,

some users are having problems with granted credit from some WUs. I have got an sweet WU from Berkeley, all other users got (minimal)credits, i have got nothing.

http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=49420083

As i have read on a discussion board, it seems that more people than me having problems with the granted credits.
