now i upgraded to the public boinc version 3.19 and now half my machines don't run boinc at all because of this error: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/ - 2004-06-24 10:56:35 - Scheduler RPC to http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi succeeded http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/ - 2004-06-24 10:56:35 - General preferences have been updated SETI@home - 2004-06-24 10:56:35 - Message from server: No work available (there was work but you don't have enough disk space allocated) --- - 2004-06-24 10:56:35 - General prefs: from SETI@home (last modified 2004-06-24 10:20:24) --- - 2004-06-24 10:56:35 - General prefs: no separate prefs for home; using your defaults SETI@home - 2004-06-24 10:56:35 - Project prefs: no separate prefs for home; using your defaults SETI@home - 2004-06-24 10:56:35 - Deferring communication with project for 10 seconds --- - 2004-06-24 10:56:44 - Fewer active results than CPUs; requesting more work --- - 2004-06-24 10:56:48 - Fewer active results than CPUs; requesting more work SETI@home - 2004-06-24 10:56:48 - Requesting 158600 seconds of work SETI@home - 2004-06-24 10:56:48 - Sending request to scheduler: http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi SETI@home - 2004-06-24 10:56:51 - Scheduler RPC to http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi succeeded SETI@home - 2004-06-24 10:56:51 - Message from server: Not sending work - last RPC too recent: 16 sec SETI@home - 2004-06-24 10:56:51 - No work from project SETI@home - 2004-06-24 10:56:51 - Deferring communication with project for 10 minutes and 0 seconds my preferences in the accounts page imply that boinc may use gigs of space. I'm confused. any help would be appriciated. |

Gigs? How many gigs? Try to set your preferences to use 0.5GB There's really no need for Seti to use over a gigabyte of room on your harddrive. The work units are only 354KB per unit, plus in all it'll take maybe 30MB to crunch. ---------------------- Jordâ„¢ [url=http://www.boinc.dk/index.php?page=user_statistics&userid=41965] |

There may be a numeric overflow at 2 or 4 GB specified. Try numbers smaller than this. jm7 |
