there only seem to be 4 active members

I understand that WU's take some time to be validated, but why the discrepancies. Its been like this for a few weeks now


whats more - I had a new member join a few days ago, and he is contributing, but still no change on my account data page

We have temporarily turned off the counting of workunits and results in various states (in progress, waiting for validation, etc) in order to give the database cleanup process more resources. Until we turn the counts back on, several of the numbers on the server status page will not be up to date.

I wouldn't panic until a day or two after everything gets turned back on.


[Edit: on re-reading, I'm not so sure this is related to the server status. The validators etc are on. The much larger number of people signed up compared to active members, is, alas, a fact of life. Are the new members showing up on the third-party stats sites? (I know, they pull their data from SETI, I'm just wondering if it's a data problem or a webpage problem.)]

It's also that users with no granted credit yet will not show up on the team pages here. Only after they got credit granted will they show up.

i will wait a few days, just seemed odd thats all. BTW Im only looking at my SETI account stats and BOINK stats. the 3rd party stats always seem a few more days behind anyway

Stats are generated for release to the stat sites approximately once every 24 hours for SETI. Some other sites do it more often.

Also, the web pages are not all updated immediately. If you look at Your Account, that is update pretty well realtime, but if you look at your public information, this could be not synced. I believe it syncs up like the Server Status page, once every 10-30 minutes.

In this world of "need to know now" we need to also know that some things still take time.
