I'll walk these empty halls one last time - remembering the rush of accomplishment, the sting of frustration and the friends I've met along the way - grateful for the opportunity I've had to be a part of all this. I'm even more grateful to those who took time along the way from their busy lives to assist and guide my footsteps through the SETIclassic world.

"The time has come to think of other things ...", said the Walrus from the book ALICE IN WONDERLAND, and I believe it was Charles Darwin who declared, "..in the end, all must evolve, or perish." These are serious words for all who inhabit the world of Distributed Computing, and in their own way, herald the beginning of a new day.

So, I exit the doors, close them firmly behind me, and bask in the light of a new beginning; with a tear in my eye for those who cannot or will not continue, and my head held high, secure in the knowledge that my dream ship still sails the oceans and seas of Distributed Computing, now powered by BOINC. There is anticipation too, for new friends I'll meet along the way, new challenges to conquer, and new projects from which to pick and choose.

To those I leave behind at this portal, I say "Farewell" -- for I'll not pass this way again, except in memory. To others, still undecided, I say "Let's go" -- and I'm stepping forward into the light .....
